Maggie Am I the only one who justs wants her to write a simple book that's not linked to these?

I'm tired of trying to follow a made up history/science in what should be a contemporary or historical romance. I don't mind it as much in her futuristics because I go into those expecting a different world with rules different from my own.

I just wish she'd write a nice stand alone historical or contemp sometime. Sigh.

Hannah I'm with you! I was over the Arcane series awhile ago. I still read them because I like JAK but yeah, she needs to let the series go and write something else! A contemporary! lol

SoaringHigher Honestly, I am very interested in the Arcane society novels that she is writing. I can't wait for her next one to come out. I think that she is a Very talented Writer. Her writing style may be a bit slow at times, but she never ceases to amaze me with the way that she mixes the Psychic side of people's lives into the romance. She has a very good sense of the past and I think that she has done a lot of research on the subject for her writing as Amanda Quick.

This is just coming from my point of view because I really enjoy such Romance stories with a bit of Paranormal and Psychic additions in them. The Dark Hunter novels are another great series that shouldn't be over looked :) I enjoy reading these kind of books and will continue to do so :)

Love the Arcane Society books! Not many authors can keep track of something that happened in Victorian time period, move it along to the present and follow through with a futuristic world. I enjoy seeing how she takes the paranormal infused objects created by Birdwell into different time periods and the romance isn't bad. She's a brilliant writer!

Agreed! She is a wonderful author, very talented, and I hope she's not done with Arcane. It's fascinating!

I know, I just checked out 10 old titles from the library and her new one Quicksilver, Copper Beach, and Crystal Gardens were excellent!

I would love to see her do a straight-up, old school romantic/suspense like her All Night Long. Although I do love the Arcane series...I miss her solid stand alones...

Is Copper Beach another one of the Psychic Related ones, because I would like to read it, but I cant buy it, so I was wondering :)

And I loved Quicksilver so much :) it was a great book, and I really like how Virginia and Owen met c:

SoaringHigher And I REALLY want to read the new Book that is coming out soon. I preordered it on my Kindle. She wrote it as Jayne Castle, So I'm sure all her fans wont be dissappointed .

Joanne Sorry -- but I completely disagree with the original posters for this "discussion". The Arcane Society is the ONLY thing by this author that I read. The rest of her stuff is too vanilla for me.

Julie I love the Arcane series, but she did say in an interview over the summer that she is taking a break from it. :(

Joanne Oh. I hate it when an author creates a series that I fall in love with and then "takes a break from it" or, worse, ends it before I feel the story has been completely played out. :-(

Julie She said she would get back to it, but felt like she had overloaded her readers with all the tie-ins and trilogies across time.

Joanne I didn't have any problem following the tie-ins and time lines. :-(

Julie I'm with ya! :)

Marilyn She wring 3 new books but I think they may be a tie-in.

Sandra J Weaver Although both Copper Beach and Crystal Gardens involve people with psychic powers, there's no mention/tie in with Arcane though I wouldn't be too surprised if Arcane showed up somewhere on the fringes of one of the next books. And the hero of Crystal Gardens is an ancestor of the hero in The Lost Night. I really liked these.
