Lots of good ones already mentioned. Apologize if I duplicate any above.

Kate Daniels-more action, but hot hero develops in the series.
River of Time Series, YA, but crossover.
,
,
. I must've repeated something in that long list, but here's a bunch!
How about....
Those are some great ones...they're more on the UF side. The romance comes later...but is awesome when it does!
Karen Chance has a great series. It has romance but more UF. Still great though.
Also Kerrelyn Sparks is hilarious and has a paranormal romance series. Heavy on the romance. (Don't let the names throw you off.)
Queen of Shadows by Dianne Sylvan was great. Shadowflame the sequel ticked off a bunch of people, but the first is awesome!
Caris Roane has a series out very similar to BDB and Laura Adrian's series.
Argeneaus by Lynsay Sands - very funny & sexy, vampsNight Huntress by Frost - sarcastic & sexy, vamps, ghouls, witches

Warriors of Poseidon by Alyssa Day--Atlantis, vamps, shifters
Mageverse by Angela Knight--Hot. Vamps, shifters, Arthurian legends.

Dragon Kin by G A Aiken (Shelley Laurenston)--Funny dragon shifters
Sentinel Wars by Shannon K Butcher--I know this was mentioned before, but it's worth mentioning again! It's excellent!

I was so upset to hear that the publisher but Wing Slayer Hunters on a hiatus. One of the best series out there.
Thanks for the great ideas! It also helped remind me of some I've read, Lord of Deliverance, and Vampire Academy so I'll add those to my list.
You should check out nightfall by Ellen Connor. It's about a werewolf apocalypse and a new dark age is coming. There is only one book out now but more are on their way.
Lenore wrote: I was so upset to hear that the publisher but Wing Slayer Hunters on a hiatus. One of the best series out there. "I hadn't heard that. That's disappointing. Read 'em before you can't get 'em, folks!
some good books are Wicked Lovely, Fallen, angel fire, A vampire princes novel, Morganville Vampires, Vampire kisses, hex hall, blue bloods, Mortal Instruments series,Infernal Devices series, hush hush and the secret circle

She said she is still looking into getting them published again, but who knows :( I think they would have been a huge hit, but they weren't very well publicized. If I had not gotten one for review, I would have never known about them.
I love Katie MacAlister. She has three Dragon series (Aisling Grey, Silver, & Light - and you'll want to read them in that order). I also love her Dark Ones series (vampires). Definitely some funny parts in her books.
I love Christine Feehan's Ghostwalkers series and Lori Handeland's Nightcreature series. They are my inspirations. Book 1 in my new series is UNLEASHED. I hope you'll check it out. I also love JudinFennell's Mermaid series!
I will recommend
My tastes would run like yours toward the top of your list.
These are silly.
The Sazi books are good.
How about Vampires in America Series by D.B. Reynolds?
Four more to be written. One comes out December of 2011 (Duncan) & another the following year. (Lucian)

[bookcover:Lover..."YES!! read them! really worth the read.
Hey Kelsey - I'm the same. I love reading series, but I prefer when they keep the same main characters. I asked for some recommendations the other day. Here's the link to my thread in case anyone came up with anything different: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...I've read quite a few of the ones you've listed and am now starting on the Chicago Land Vampire series by Chloe Neill There are only 4 or 5 at the moment but more are promised. I'm on the 2nd installment at the moment and am really enjoying it. It reminds me a little of The Night Huntress series.
You should also check out Laurell K. Hamilton I really enjoyed both the Anita Blake and Meredith Gentry series and there are more than 15 or so in each series. I have to warn you though - Anita Blake especially - is an acquired taste and people either love them or hate them.
I can't speak highly enough of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. The books are soooooo much better than the TV series .... even though no one can complain about the chance to ogle Alexander Skarsgaard (Eric Northman).
Happy reading
x
Everytime people ask for a recommendation I always suggest Nancy Gideon's Moonlight Series. It's about a mobster shapeshifter and his police officer girlfriend. The book is set in New Orleans. I also enjoyed Adrian Phoenix's Maker Song series about a vampire/angel hybrid and the FBI agent who loves and protects him from the poeple who want to use him or do him harm.
4/6 books available
4/5 books available

Here's the link to my thread in case anyo..."the book series was very good, & I agree that the books are so much better then the tv version. It would be interesting to see Quinn pop up and maybe even be a "bad guy", what would the neighbors think having a tiger roaming around
I suggest the Guildhunter series by Nalini Singh - sensual, mature, action packed, Jane True series by Nicole Peeler - funny, action, romantic paranormal, and I also recommend the Ghostwalker series by Christine Feehan - sexy, action packed, humans with a twist so not exactly paranormal.
Sharon wrote: "Hey Kelsey - I'm the same. I love reading series, but I prefer when they keep the same main characters. I asked for some recommendations the other day. Here's the link to my thread in case anyo..."I loved the Anita Blake series until about the 8th book when every other line was about her feeling 'the power' and it was much more about her sleeping with everyone than solving whatever crime she was trying to solve. But I'm a mystery girl at heart.
Jacki wrote: "Kelsey wrote: "Hey! It is time for a new series, I like paranormal romance, love lots of romance, but some action too. These are some series I have read, listed with my favorites at the top and one..."Well I liked it okay, I mean I am still reading the new ones that come out. It just was not as high up on my list because I like a bit more romance, for me it felt like the author avoided it at times. But after the first book, I was more attached to the characters and enjoyed the books more.
I always hear that about Harris vs True Blood, but I watch the show so I figured I would wait until the show is over or I am sick of it to start the books, because I know they will be better and just ruin the show for me. :)
Kelsey wrote: "Hey! It is time for a new series, I like paranormal romance, love lots of romance, but some action too. I fell in love with it. The first book is Dead Witch Walking.
I also LOVED Ilona Andrews Magic series.
I just read
and loved it! Highly reccomend it! Also
is the first in a new series and was really good.My other reccomendations are more UF with building romance, but all great books/series. Most have already been reccomended, just putting in my opinion :)
These are some of my favourite authors: (i'll try not to repeat the ones that have already been mentioned)-Laurann Dohner (all of her series are awesome)
-Lora Leigh (breeds series)
-Jaid black (Trek Mi Q'an series)
-Kresley cole (all of her books!)
-Gena showalter
I'm probably repeating some recommendations but these are some of my favesYA Genre: Wicked Lovely, Nightshade, Iron Fey, Hunger Games, Vampire Academy, Body Finders, The Mortal Instruments
Non YA: Kate Daniels, BDB, Unbound Shifters, Night Huntress and Night Huntress World, Sabina Kane, Mercedes Thompson
If i were to pick one from each I'd say The Mortal Instruments and Mercedes Thompson
I may be repeating other recs here, but these are some of my favorites that you didn't mention.Lynsay Sands Argeneau Seres
Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series
and Fever series
I also really like P.C. Cast's Marked series. It's YA, but it's very good.
Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series is good as well.
Well I do have two paranormal romance series, but they're James Bond-y - one is set when Talents (shape-shifters, vampires etc) are hidden, that's the Department 57 series, and the other when they've revealed their existence to the general public, and that's the STORM series.Anyway, there are links and excerpts on my site, and see what you think!

As for the ones I love, my introduction to the paranormal romance was Christine Feehan's Dark series, and I've always had a soft spot for those, especially the early ones.
