Andrew I've managed to be reasonably good with my book purchases and lessen the rate I'm buying them considering I still have 14 book still un-read on my self.

But recently-ish I have bought

Blood Meridian
TV Go Home
The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell

Melissa Hoyle | 36 comments Wow not a single post since 2012! Is this topic still active? Either way, here is my list of books recently purchased:
A Garden of Earthly Delights
The Crystal World
The Book of Life
French Provincial Cooking
Troubled Daughters, Twisted Wives: Stories from the Trailblazers of Domestic Suspense
The Oxford Companion to Classical Literature
A Curl of Copper and Pearl
There Once Lived a Girl Who Seduced Her Sister's Husband, and He Hanged Himself: Love Stories

I buy books from Amazon (generally used) or I head to the city to my favorite used bookstore. Where I live there are no good bookstores. I try to avoid the big bookstores, it's so impersonal.

I just got Half of a Yellow Sun in and started it yesterday. I've read her other works and find them to be wonderful. I really enjoy Adichie's writing. Hope you enjoy it!

message 162: by Sonali (new)

Sonali V Melksham, I was so impressed with Half of a yellow sun and Adichie 's speech on TED that I bought Purple Hibiscus. John le Carre of course is an old favourite.

You have to love autocorrect! I don't think I've ever read le Carre before.
