Samantha Tew | 7 comments I was just wondering if anyone could suggest some books similar to the authors Juliet Marillier and Marion Zimmer Bradley?
Books that are strong in magic with a sort of historical timeline...
Sorry if this is really vague (it's my first post)
Thank you so much!

Rora I'm not sure if you have read these or not but I enjoyed these historical fantasies. I can't remember for some of them how "historical" they are, but hopefully you might find something you like.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey
Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card
The Invisible Road by Elizabeth Knox
The Fire Rose and The Serpent's Shadow by Mercedes Lackey
The Fox Woman and Fudoki by Kij Johnson
Tender Morsels by Margo Lanagan
Winter Rose by Patricia A. McKillip
Merlin Trilogy by Mary Stewart
Sorcery and Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot by Patricia C. Wrede
