To be honest, I am not sure, I haven't paid much attention. I had been reading the night before and playing games on it so I started the day with like 30% charge. I have a charger in the car and one in the house so I never really worry about it too much. Sorry I couldn't be much help on that front.
This sounds like fun! This is the 1st challenge in this group that I have participated in all year.I plan to read:
The Hunger Games, The Way We Live Now, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. I am probably not going to finish them, but since TWWLN is a HUGE book, I hope to get a chunk out of it.
Almost finished with Wicked Lovely and Strangers In Paradise. I don't understand where the time is going!

Oh I know I do the same thing. But, that just makes room for more.
I just finished challenge #5 - Farm Fatale by Wendy Holden - excellent comic novel. 393p.I have started G'Day to Die by Maddy Hunter for another challenge, and am working on two more.
I'm going to read and have a cup of tea - can't decide what kind, though. Hmmmm...big decisions this morning!
I have just finished #3 Wicked Lovely and I loved the book. I was a sweet, delightful book and I couldn't put it down.

Day 3 update:The book I'd picked for Challenge #3 (Crank) became unavailable (my sister took it with her! lol) so I replaced it with The Iliad which I've always meant to read but never gotten around to. I'm loving it so far... ok, so not the chapter/book that does nothing but list the names and geneologies of the Greeks, but everything else ;p Work is seriously interfering with my reading time, but I still read 168 pages today :)
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2/3 finished
2.
3. Lockdown finished

Stacie, make sure you get Crank back. I didn't know if I would like this type of book and now I can't put it down. Only 130 pages to go. Also, work is seriously interfering with my reading time as well.
Margie wrote: " Stacie, make sure you get Crank b..."Well, since it is actually hers I guess I really do have to let her read it first! She did say that I could have it when she was done, but that won't be in time for this read-a-thon. Glad to hear it's good :)
Finished Crank and really liked it. It reminded me of Go Ask Alice. Also, I would never have picked up this book if it weren't for challenge #2, because I didn't think I would like a book written in verse. Two down, four more to go! :)
1. Virals by Kathy Reichs
2.
3. Etta by Gerald Kolpan

The book was quite interesting. I think it was more about self discovery than monsters. It wasn't graphic and I would even recommend it to a middle school student. I'd read again.
Salena wrote: "Day 3 Check In: Read halfway through The Help. I hope to finish it today."How do you like it? I have that on my to be read-pile as well.
Day 3: Finished G'Day to Die by Maddy Hunter - 288p. It meets challenge #7, and is the third book I have finished during the Read-a-thon.Started my graphic novel for this challenge: Astronaut Academy by Dave Roman. Hope to get it finished soon.
Goal for today - finish at least two more books, make some progress on Memory Keeper's Daughter, and start at least one more. We'll see if I can get that done while taking care of three kids at the same time!

I loved this book! So did friends of mine who can't wait for the movie - don't know how I feel about that, because the movie is almost never as good as the book!
Margie wrote: "Finished Crank and really liked it. It reminded me of Go Ask Alice. Also, I would never have picked up this book if it weren't for challenge #2, because I didn't think ..."I have recently read Go Ask Alice again and that is such a heartbreaking diary!

Shay wrote: "If you click on the link (over the comment box) "some html is ok" it'll show all of the things you can do- strike through, italics, underline, spoilers, etc."Thanks, Shay - I needed this info also since every time I tried to do this, I failed to get it to work correctly!
Finished Astronaut Academy by Dave Roman - still not a fan of graphic novels, but I keep trying. This meets Challenge #2.

I was never brave enough to ever ask. But, someone else was nice enough to ask so that's how I figured it out- someone else explained how to do it. I wonder if there's an official GR thread or FAQ for newbies that I never managed to find that would have explained all of this stuff.
I'm not getting as much time to read as I had hoped, but so far I have 1,220 pages read in 4-1/2 books. Largest book 432 pages, smallest book 176 pages.

It was amazing! It is the best book I have read in a long time. However, some of that could be because I live in Mississippi. There were several heart-wrenching moments, but then laugh out loud moments too. I can't wait to see if the movie even compares!

Yes The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns are both really good. Very moving though, especially with The Kite Runner I had a tough time, I was really upset at times.
Finished Immanuel's Veins and Strangers in Paradise Pocket Book, vol. 1. Very odd combination to read at the same time!
I finished my book for challenge #4: Under a War-torn Sky by L.M. Elliott. What a great World War II book! It is about a pilot whose plane goes down behind enemy lines, and it had me intrigued, because my dad was stationed in England during World War II and flew B-17's (instead of the B-24 in the book). I am always interested in stories of flying from that place and time since my father lived it.
Just finished my 9th books. I'm now 6 books ahead on my yearly goal of 400 books. I actually need to be about 10 books ahead by December 1st. I noticed I usually read less in December.
I guess it's time I posted - I've been keeping track on paper so this should be pretty accurate:Finished Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values - the last 128 pp
Finished John Adams - the last 82 pp
