Welcome everyone! Wow, so many wonderful places. Our group is so broad and varied with our members living across so many different and beautiful cities.
I was born and live in Sydney, Australia, but my mum was raised in Vietnam, my dad was raised in Malaysia and all of my grandparents are from China!
I was born in Kansas, but I've lived in Clovis, New Mexico most of my life. My parents did move us to Texas for about six years when I was in the 4th grade, but clearly, I'm a New Mexican.
Welcome to all of our new and wonderful members! Looking forward to getting to know everyone better and having fun together :)

WOW! Welcome everyone :) it's so great getting to know about all of you and the awesome cities and countries that you all are from or even currently living in. Wish I could travel to them all LOL!
This is pretty amazing to see where everyone is from. Makes my place of residence seem so boring... LOL
Casey wrote: "This is pretty amazing to see where everyone is from. Makes my place of residence seem so boring... LOL"Are you kidding me Casey? You live in New Mexico! I want to visit. I've seen photos of the beautiful landscapes and the desert scenery and the amazing food LOL! It's very influenced by Mexican culture and I LOVE that. OMG the mountains. And the architecture. Beautiful. Nothing boring about New Mexico :)

With all the castles and history. Sigh. Maybe that's why I love to read Highland romances?? Hey who knows, maybe we'll get to go :)

Haha! I guess it depends on which part of NM, Belkis. I live in the desert. We have to drive 3 hours to finally reach the mountains where we ski. Where I live, the wind blows 65 miles an hour, sometimes three or four weeks straight. And it hardly ever snows. I am missing winter this year. Today, the high is 59, but a rare snowstorm is supposed to blow in tomorrow. We shall see. And you're right about the food. We have some good southern Mexican delicacies around here. Once you get down into the Las Cruces area, you can see Juarez, Mexico from the highway. But it's too dangerous to go there anymore because of the drug cartels.

I taught English literature for several years, and I would love to go to those places we read about and see the homeland of some of those authors. One of these days, I'm gonna make it over there.

Oh but the scenery is still probably breathtakingly beautiful Casey. Definitely inspirational I bet :)
Well, you can definitely see the sun rise and set. When my cousins visited from New Jersey, they couldn't believe how beautiful that was. They'd never seen it. Funny how we take things for granted when they've always just been, you know?

From London, which is my favorite city so far second only to New York (Yay USA!), we can take the Eurail train to any of them. Love the convenience and accessibility of the train systems in Europe :)

I told my husband, that if I ever make it over there, I want to follow that exact route and stay in all same hotels and inns I wrote about. Sad thing is, my husband has no desire to go to Europe. Now Australia, he wouldn't mind. I told him I'd take my sister and my best friend and go without him... Ha!

Funny how we take things for granted ..."Yes we do tend to take many amazing things for granted and it takes someone else seeing it for the first time or from a different perspective for us to realize how lucky we are to have them. I live in Miami, Florida. Let me just say that it is such a beautiful city and state; which I honestly appreciate daily. But, this state is a vacation destination as well as USA beach heaven, and yet, I hardly ever go to the beach and don't really plan vacations to see any of the attractions here. See? Same as you pointed out....
Nitzan wrote: "I'm actually from Israel! :)"My friend recently visited Israel Nitzan and she came back utterly in LOVE and wanting to move there :) the photographs were AMAZING!
Yep. We've been over your way twice for vacation at St. Pete Beach. We stay at the Don Cesar and spend all day lounging by the ocean. But we don't have one single beach in NM. We have to go into the gulf of Texas for that treat.
Alessandra wrote: "I'm from London Uk, born and raised.....getting restless here though, don't want to be in the country for much longer!!"Oh I would so trade with you Alessandra LOL! See, just like Casey said :)
Felicia wrote: "I was born and live in Sydney, Australia, but my mum was raised in Vietnam, my dad was raised in Malaysia and all of my grandparents are from China!"Take about diversified Felicia. Your family tree conversations must be really exciting. So many countries :) I'd love to see Australia.
