No, we live on higher ground, thank goodness. We're very lucky. It was mostly Downtown and the surrounding communities.

I heard there was a flood back in 2005, (before I moved here) but not at brutal as this one. A town nearby was almost completely wiped out. I got to help gut someone's flooded basement. Several inches of mud and who-knows-what covered the floor. The drywall practically melted in our hands as we pulled it from the frame! Total eye-opener...

Oh my... Drywall and water is never a great mix. I can only imagine what a mess such a flood gives.. Everything swimming around... We had one here in the Netherlands about ten years ago maybe longer, I think our cellar also flooded.. but only with water no mud..
