For me this series was heavy on the world building, causing you to really slow down to read it. I loved the shop where they all work. The camaraderie they had while working was so great.
I picked up #3 when my Borders was closing last year, and read it for a challenge. Really enjoyed it, so I've picked up the other 2 but haven't yet had a chance to read them. Looking forward to it.

in the end. I'm hoping that it's like the Jane Yellowrock series and will get better as it progresses.
