For me this series was heavy on the world building, causing you to really slow down to read it. I loved the shop where they all work. The camaraderie they had while working was so great.

I picked up #3 when my Borders was closing last year, and read it for a challenge. Really enjoyed it, so I've picked up the other 2 but haven't yet had a chance to read them. Looking forward to it.

I have to agree that it was slow going at first, but I really liked in the end. I'm hoping that it's like the Jane Yellowrock series and will get better as it progresses.

For me the later books did get better, but then the world building was mostly done. That always helps!
