I've been debating 'Scuse Me While I Kill This Guy for a while - finally decided to download it.

Finished Murder With Puffins
. I like these but they're the sort of series I can't read more than one every few months of. Too much to do any more often. In the middle of Sand Sharks
. About to start Out on the Cutting Edge
.Ok, now I have to go look at 'Scuse Me While I Kill This Guy -- as if I needed any more TBR! Thanks a lot!!!
Just finished Murder of a Beauty Shop Queen: A Dan Rhodes Mystery by Bill Crider. I love these characters ;)
Just finished Since Your Leaving Anyway, Take Out the Trash by Dixie Cash. It's the first in a series.
Just finished
last night and am finding the series holding up very well for me, with the plots not requiring the suspension of belief I have problems with in so many cozies. This is a particularly good Christmas themed mystery as well, probably one of the better ones I've read, with the holiday and religious aspect brought in with a deft touch in a somewhat unique way.
I stayed up later last night than I should have because I wanted to finish The Baker Street Letters. It was a bit convoluted at the end -- too many twists when it came to figuring out who was actually behind everything -- but I still enjoyed the book enough to read the next in the series.

It was only OK. Not much of a mystery."Well, hope my Love Thy Sister is getting close to the top of the pile...
Just finished Hearse and Buggy by Laura Bradford. I really liked it. It's set in an Amish town. I enjoyed the murder mystery and the setting. I am intrigued by the Amish so it made it even more interesting.
Just finished Owls Well that Ends Well by Donna Andrews. Can't remember when I've had so much fun with a book. Great quirky characters, lots of humor, fun plot. Of course I started this in the middle of a series, so I'll have to go back and catch up - can't wait!

At times I had to put the book down until I finished laughing....

I finished the short story Red Hot Deadly Peppers - part of the farm fresh mysteries by Paige Shelton. It was ok.

Completed one by a new to me author, Valerie Wolzien called:"This Old Murder". It is A Josie Pigeon Mystery Series. Lead female character is a construction company contractor. Enjoyed it enough for me to read another that I already have but I have to say, the way Josie let some people treat her irritated me so badly that it almost ruined the book for me.I can't see a woman strong enough to be in a male dominated field be as passive as Josie was at times. Sometimes it is hard to be accepting of characters that react so very differently than what we would expect as a realistic reaction.
I recently finished
and
. I continue to enjoy the Coffeehouse Mystery series, and this first book in the Mrs. Murphy and Tucker series weak was a lot of fun.
Just finished Room with a Clue. In spite of the clever plot, this book felt like it took forever for me to finish. Guess it just didn't do it for me.
Kari wrote: "I recently finished The Lies That Bind
I love this series. This one had a lot more book and bookbinding background than the other two."This series is one of my all-time favorite series. I have the latest Peril in Paperback, but I'm holding back on starting it to make it last longer. :) Anticipation and all that. lol
I'm working my way through
Candy Apple Dead, the first in a series by Sammi Carter. I like the story, but she's introduced wayyyyy too many characters -- and I'm only 2/3 of the way through the book! Worse, it looks like almost every one of those characters has a motive for the murder ... ugh!
I just finished On What Grounds
by Cleo Coyle. Can't believe I waited this long to read this series. Already on hold for the next two books.

and it was so good. Now I have to wait forever for another one!

See, that's why I keep moving it to the bottom - every day I put off reading it is one less day I have to wait for the next one. :D
I just finished To Catch A Vampire. I honestly don't know what to say about the cover art on these books, but the stories are a fun ride! :)(not, however, for those looking for a clean read)
I just finished Mud to Ashes
on my Kindle. It was a freebie a good while ago and finally got to it. Lots of pottery info and the characters were quite likeable.
Biblophile wrote: "I just finished Mud to Ashes

I just read my first Ellery Adams mystery, A Deadly Cliche (second book in series). I enjoyed it but am hoping the main character, Olivia Limoges softens as her character develops in the series. I'm sure she will!
Finished two more by Valerie Wolzien. One, "Murder In The Forecast" was a Josie Pigeon Mystery. Josie is a contractor/owner of a construction company. The other "A Star-Spangled Murder" is also by Wolzien but is a Susan Henshaw Mystery.
Death of a Neighborhood Witch
. I really enjoy this series but it's time for Jaine to find someone special
I just finished The September Society. It was OK, a bit better than the 1st in the series, but I doubt I'll be reading the 3rd in series anytime soon.
I just completed The Baker Street Letters by Michael Robertson. I liked it alot. He has two more out and I'm looking forward to reading both during the cool weather (when it becomes cooler). Two brother lawyers have offices at Baker Street and receive letters from people who write to fictional characters with their concerns. To whom do you think they write? The first was from an eight year old girl. Happy sleuthing.
I recently finished reading
Truly, Madly. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of psychic part, but I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more in the series.
A few days ago, I finished Agatha Christie's "A Mysterious Affairat Styles". I have read many by Christie and have always enjoyed them. Even though Poirot is the "sleuth" in this one, the most entertaining and endearing character for me was Hastings. I think I enjoyed him more in this one than most of the other H. Poirot mysteries. I wanted to hug the goof. lol.

I agree that Hastings is very good in "A Mysterious Affair at Styles" (her first Poirot and Hastings book). I think I enjoy him most, though, in "Murder on the Links" when he meets the girl he ends up marrying.
That is one that I have not read yet nor do I have it on my shelves. But....I will. :) I love little Hastings. He is so gullible. Sensitive. Loyal. Funny without meaning to be. And at times, as in "A Mysterious Affair at Styles" the rascal can be fickle as well and so impressionable and trusting (usually to his chagrin).
Susie in KS wrote: "Just finished
and really enjoyed it!"I read that one quite some time ago, devoured the next couple of books -- and then the series just ... stopped. I think there are only five books in the series? I would love to have read more, but it's been nearly ten years since the last one came out :\
