What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)
Hello All, I'm new. I just finished . Killing Bridezilla. It was cute. Now I'm reading the next in the Jaine Austen series, Killer Cruise
❂ Jennifer wrote: "Finished
(and before midnight too!). Excellent story and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. Should be interesting..."I love the Diva series too. They are one of my favorite series. Krista's writing is consistantly good. I can't wait to read The Diva Digs Up Dirt.
I have been reading
! And getting a little bored. This is the first book I have read by her. I want to keep reading because they all sound really good, I also really like Lucy. Does it pick up, ever or soon????

Maybe the psychic thing is not your thing? There was another book before this one. If you get a chance you might try it and see if you liked it better.
Finished Say No to Murder and No Body by Nancy Pickard. I think it's safe to say I will be searching out the rest of this series.
Cindi wrote: "I have been reading

The psychic angle doesn't bother me. I think it's interesting and haven't read a lot of books with that theme. But there's something about the book that I can't put my finger on.
Are you going to finish reading, or did you finish reading?
I haven't decided about that yet. I think eventually I will probably read - or try to read - the first one. If I do read that one and like it I will probably try to re-read it or at least pick it up where I stopped. However, I'm not sure it is going to be at the top of my list to read. The psychic thing didn't bother me really either, it's just something wasn't THERE to make it seem like a story was going to be told. I felt like being on a treadmill - I just kept reading and reading but really got nowhere.
Kimberly wrote: "I just finished Brownies and Brromsticks. I was prepared and had chocolate on hand while reading."Good idea about the hot chocolate.
I finished Sleight of Paw and enjoyed this second book very much. I love books with a libriarian because i would love to be one. I like the characters and the cute town. I also love the magical cats.
I finished
and although it was good, there was made mention of other Austen books, notably Emma. Wickham and Lydia play a huge role in this book. I would have liked to read more about Darcy and Lizzie.
Really enjoyed this and was glad to find, I can read this series out of order and still like each one.
Cindi, YES! That's it, a treadmill! Too bad I can't read while on a treadmill. I could work off all the chocolate and cupcakes I eat from the other books I read. :)
I finished the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murders by J. Fluke. I enjoyed the book and will be reading more in this series. I esp. enjoyed the "book" inside the book. It wasn't a murder mystery but I found it very good with realistic, likeable characters.

At some point, though, I'll read the second one and then decide if I'll read more... the teaser at the end of the first book intrigued me enough to want to read the second....
Just finished Murder on a Girls' Night Out
. I enjoyed it but not sure I'll read anymore in the series. Now reading To Dust You Shall Return... it's good so far, but there's a second somewhat mystery...so I'll reserve judgement on the series till I'm finished....
I just finished Swift Justice. I really liked it. I am having difficulty deciding on something to read now :-(

Kari wrote: "I just finished If Fried Chicken Could Fly
and I really liked it."I liked that one too. The next one comes out in OctIf Mashed Potatoes Could Dance Hope it's as good as this one.
Just finished
. I loved it! I found it to be the equivalent of "The Apple Dumpling Gang" or similar movie. :)

I read
a couple of days ago for review, enjoyed it so much I read it in a single afternoon/evening. Granted, it is paranormal, but even readers who don't generally select that genre could enjoy this. Very fast-paced, great escalation of tension, budding romance (but not overblown), excellent characterisations, lovely descriptive settings (Santa Fe, Los Alamos)-and some of the characters-I'm thinking particularly of Lynx and Zandy-are special in the sense that they show a wider understanding than might be expected. You can check my review also at:http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I'll be reading/reviewing the sequel in a day or so:

I probably couldn't recommend it to you if you felt that strongly about the first one. I didn't *love* the first one, but I didn't feel I'd wasted my time with it either - as I said in my review, I'd read the in-between-the-numbers books and set my expectations accordingly. :) These books to me are pure cotton candy and I enjoy them for the laughs, if not the mature story lines. lol

I love the Plum books and even liked most of the "between-the-numbers" books. Just couldn't deal with this other series, tho. I didn't like the Metro Girl book either.

Who is the author? **Scrolling on the book only gives the title.

This is a really great cozy. Loved it alot and now Emma Jameson has her new book 2 in the series published called Blue Murder. Am hooked after just one book and the new one is one the way.
I just finished
. It started off slow for me, but I ended up liking it and wanting to read the next book.

I'm not a" Big name label"person so It doesn't sound like that one would be my thing either unless really great characters & mystery outweighed the "designer label" aspect of it.
I tried the new to me series, "A Southern Fried Mystery" for the first time. When I finished HUSH MY MOUTH by Cathy Pickens
I wanted to rush out and find the rest of the series.
The story is set in the south, with very familiar places being mentioned, the characters were easy & quick to get to know (and for almost all of them, to like), not lol but very witty. The mystery was very well executed. I am very glad that I stumbled onto this one.(the quirkiest of characters were still believable but entertaining.
