Sprinkle with Murder and I really enjoyed it. I hope to read more by this author soon."I also really enjoyed this book.
Finished
Who Do, Voodoo? by Rochelle Staab. Good first mystery. Liked the characters and the relationships. Interesting background and setting. Staab resolves the main mystery but there are a couple of others that are left unresolved.
Just finished
and
. The Murder at the Vicarage was a re-read as I'm trying to compare the actual books to the PBS Mystery series to see how closely they follow the books and it's been ages since I've read Agatha Christie. The Baker Street Letters was an okay mystery but it didn't live up to the premise and in the end was a bit disappointing. Still deciding if I'll read the second one or not.
Finished The Curse of the Pharaohs
last night. It took me a long time to read which is strange since I really do enjoy the books. I had the same problem with the first one back in December.
I just finished reading
If Fried Chicken Could Fly. I wasn't sure I was going to like the ghost aspect of it, but I thought it was cute.
I just finished reading
The cover says, "If you like laugh-out-loud mysteries, this one will make your day." Romantic Times. Very true!

Just looked and my library has these. Can't wait to start. Thanks.
This is one suspenseful book. but the author gave away the suspect before the final ending of the book, I hate that.

Just finished
. I'm glad I only have one more book left. The stories are just OK.Also finished
and I enjoyed this one!
I finished
Buttercream Bump-off yesterday. It only took me a day to read which is really quick for me.

Just finished A Crafty Killing,
(before the end of the month!) and really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to reading the second book in this series.
Finished Ghost a la mode and I loved it! I'm ready to read the second in the series now.http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/6... Okay, I'm not great at this html stuff!

Great series! Book three is on my list....

I like this series. The 2nd book is the best one, IMHO.

I've read the first one and am having trouble tracking down #2 at the moment. I'll have to see what the used bookstore has for me, but I loved the first one once it got going.

I'm so glad to hear this, Susie, because I had a great time reading
too!

yesterday and enjoyed it."I have a question about this author's books. I haven't read any of these yet and was wondering if it's better to read them in series order. I love the different events and would like to try to read them with the coordinating time of the year. I usually read a series in order because the characters develop better. Is this series meant to be read in order or by the holiday/event?

I have a stack of her books on my bookshelf and havent read them because i like to read books when they are in the right season the only thing i have found about reading them out of order is finding out small events.. I thought there was always 4 children but she is pregnant in an earlier book..so it isnt mandatory if you dont mind a little backtracking here and there..it depends on how OCD you have about chronological order really:) ( My hang up about reading a Christmas book in July won over my need to read things in perfect order with this series)
Robin wrote: "

I just finished "Confession is Murder" (The Patron Saint Mysteries). By Peg Cochran. My first time reading any of these. For the first few chapters I wasn't sure how I felt about the book. But soon I was finding myself involved and trying to figure out who the real murderer was out of many finely woven in suspects. It isn't Shakespere, but it is good at being what it is. A Cozy Mystery. I will be looking for more of these.Peg Cochran
Just finished
and found it enjoyable. Undemanding read, good choice for a hot summer afternoon, decent plot, good characterization and no 'getting into trouble by doing something incredibly stupid' ... which is, unfortunately, one of my biggest issues with many cozy mysteries.
I just finished Keepsake Crimes by Laura Childs. I love the "Tea Shop Series" but this one was a disappointment. I may try one more though and see if it is any better.
Sharon wrote: "Just finished

Undemanding read, good choice for a hot summer afternoon, decent plot, good characterization and no 'getting into trouble by doing someth..."That is one of my pet-peeves about some of the cozies also. It is my favorite genre, but the "hopefully" unrealisticly stupid choices that some of the heroines make can be very irritating esp. when it occurs over a span of several books in a series. My favorite series is an example. I quit reading Stephanie Plum for a while because I could not understand why Evanovitch did not let her grow at all, learning from MANY mistakes in the past, SO, that said, Moon Signs is now on my to read list.

I totally agree with you, normal and sensible people, something sometimes strange in books. BTW, I think the cover which appears at DonnaCarol 's message is not the same LOL. Tricky goodreads ;)

I just finished
by Nancy Martin. If you're a fan of the series, I highly recommend this short novella (available in most of the ebook formats, I think). Adds quite a bit of background and quite a twist to the Mick/Nora story. Loved it!
Sharon wrote: "Just finished

DonnaCarol wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Just finished

I posted "Moon Signs" with the book cover. In this reply ... and another one below, the book cover has been changed to "Blood Signs", complete with book cover ... which I've never even read!
????? What happened? It's still Moon Signs in my original post #4605 ... but changes in the first response to that post.
Okay, I can live with that. When I first saw it I thought I'd somehow posted that instead of Moon Signs, missing it because of my vision problems somehow.
I "bumped" the issue in the Feedback group because it's confusing enough when the cover changes but the same title appears, but going from "Moon Signs" to "Blood Signs"?! I wish they'd get the bug fixed already... too confusing! :)

The good news is that Peg Cochran has a new series debuting very soon, with the first book being released in August -- the title is Allergic to Death. I'm dying to get my hands on it!

I noticed that too, but thought I had done something wrong.Tried to fix it but it kept coming up the same. whew! glad it wasn't me.I was beginning to feel like I fit in with those characters that "never grow" through a series of books. LOL.
Linda S. wrote: "DonnaCarol wrote: "I just finished "Confession is Murder" (The Patron Saint Mysteries). By Peg Cochran. It's also good to hear from someone that has read or is reading something that I am. I seem to be picking these "odd man out" books. I need to get with the program and read the seemingly more popular/bigger following series that everyone is talking about on here. I finished Animal Appetite by Susan Conant a few days ago, (whew, kind of intense, but good) and last night finished "Mrs. Jeffries Forges Ahead by Emily Brightwell. I really liked this one.
