What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)
Finished
and really liked it a lot. All the small town secrets and the twisting & turning of family trees intrigued me! Jennifer, I didn't find anything I thought I was weird, so not sure what you might have been referring to!
Finished Murder on the Orient Express this morning. I love Christie, so I naturally enjoyed this book for the most part. The ending was a bit of a letdown.

Just finished (finally!)
. Good enough story if you like historical cozies, but really woeful editing.
I just finished
Murder Past Due by Miranda James. It was a good mystery, trickier than it seemed. First in a new series, the characters are well-drawn and likeable. I will look for the next in this series.
I finished *sniffle*
. This has to be my favourite series and this was a great book. Absolutely fantastic. Now, August needs to hurry up and get here! :)

A lazy Sunday here, so I started and finished
. 3 stars. Weak beginning, I felt, though it improved as it went on. I'll try the next one when it's published.
I finished the audio version of
. So far it's my favourite in this series (I'm reading in order). And I just love the narrator.
Jenny wrote: "I finished the audio version of

Their audiobook collections skips all the way to the last few books in the series so I have had to read all the middle books in print. I love the narrator for the series.

Just finished India Black and the sequel India Black and the Widow of Windsor. Not completely sold on the series, but may give the third book a try.
Sue T wrote: "Finished Evan's Gate last night."I really miss the Evan Evans series. I enjoyed the characters, the Welsh setting and the mysteries themselves. Unforunately Rys Bowen has devoted herself to her two historical mysteries abandoning Evan and Llanfair. (Or fortunately if you like historical mysteries).

I have been reading the Evan Evans' series this year and am up to Evan Blessed
. It's a very good series, a little darker tone than Her Royal Spyness. It's better than Molly Murphy IMO. I dropped the Molly Murphy series because the 'coincidences' in the last two or three I read were so unlikely and the Molly-Dan relationship was annoying me. I'm reading the latest Royal Spyness now. I read that she does not plan to write another Constable Evans novel but may do a short story update.
I just finished Quickstep to Murdery
by Ella Barrick. I enjoyed this book. It is the first in the series and the detective is a ballroom dance teacher/competitor.

Finished
. I just really enjoy this series....though I'm a bit tired of Derek calling Brooklyn "darling" every other sentence!
Melodie wrote: "Finished

Finished
A Sheetcake Named Desire by Jacklyn Brady. Liked it. Set in New Orleans post Katrina. There were a couple of unanswered questions in the resolution but it's a first mystery. Good characters especially the protagonist. Will definitely read the next one.
Nell wrote: "Finished

Finished
and
last night. LOVED ghost a la Mode. I was amused by all of the bitter, angry people in the Agatha Raisin. I thought it was getting better but it's like these people never think before speaking. I can't imagine there are that many people who talk like that and I hope the next book is better.Thank goodness for some short cozies. I'd been reading longer fantasy, sci-fi and thrillers and while they're great, after too many in a row I was feeling a bit bogged down in my reading.
Nell wrote: "Finished

I just finished The Christie Caper by Carolyn G. Hart and I loved it the first time I read it. The reread did not disappoint.Pam
Pamela wrote: "I just finished The Christie Caper by Carolyn G. Hart and I loved it the first time I read it. The reread did not disappoint.Pam"
Carolyn Hart is one of my favorite authors.

Yep I love her Death On demand Series. I'm thinking about reaching on my shelves for another one of her books to read. Pam
I just finished
Hexes and Hemlines - my cozy group read the first in the series back in January and many of us continued to books two and three because we liked it so much.
I just finished up
and I really enjoyed it. Look forward to reading more books by this author. Now I just got to decide what I am going to start reading!
I finished
last night. Overall I really liked it, but a couple of the characters were pretty annoying.
I just finished Shakespeare's Christmas. I am really loving the series. I've committed to reading them all in order.
Just finished Red Delicious Death and am glad I got it from the library instead of buying it. I gave it two stars. There wasn't much mystery and there is way too much information about apple orchards.

Finished Opal Fire which was a cute, funny cozy. If you have Amazon Prime it is free right now and so is the sequel Bloodstone. Sadly, I don't have Prime but since Opal Fire was free at one point I can hope Bloodstone will be too.
Karen M wrote: "Finished Opal Fire which was a cute, funny cozy. If you have Amazon Prime it is free right now and so is the sequel Bloodstone. Confused me silly for a bit there until I figured out the distinction. Still, 3.99 is not a bad price. :)
I just finished Agoney of the leaves Agony of the Leaves it was very good!.Now I'm reading A Catered St. Patrick's day A Catered St. Patrick's Day.
Finished
.Is Amazon prime worth it for the books? I am considering it but wasn't sure how many books are offered. Is there a large cozy selection?
Deb wrote: "Is Amazon prime worth it for the books? I am considering it but wasn't sure how many books are offered. Is there a large cozy selection?"Here's a link that will take you to the list of books offered. You can narrow the list by topic to mysteries. They don't have a subcategory for cozies, but there is one for women sleuths. I skimmed through a few pages under mysteries and didn't see anything that interested me. If I opt to get Amazon prime, it will be for the video selections.

Thanks Nell. I'll check it out.
I just finished Maisie Dobbs. Very good book and well-written. But I'm not sure it worked as a mystery for me.

The second one is much better!"
Good to know the series got better with the 2nd book, as I thought TO HAVE & TO KILL was pretty bad!
