I just finished
Endangered by Pamela Beason. It says it is suspense, but it certainly falls into the cozy category as well. I loved, loved, loved it. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

last night and loved it. Granny Apples is one heck of a character and her grandaughter Emma is very appealing. Definitely going to read the next one in the series.

The dumpster diving didn't get me so much, but that was the last one I read. For me I grew increasingly tired of sister Trish and Bob. The main character just wasn't a strong enough draw to offset the detractors in the series.

I know what you mean. I NEVER liked Tricia and could never understand why everyone loved her. I thought she was that word that rhymes with ditch and liked her sister better than her!
I just finished No Game for a Dame by M. Ruth Myers. She is a Goodreads author. I really enjoyed this book, Sam Spade in skirts, but definitely a cozy.
Deb wrote: "

I have had people come up to me and say that they saw me reading in the drive-thru lane the other day! Yep. I carry mine everywhere too.

Just finished
. Meh. The mystery and plotting is solid, but the characters still need a lot of work. Her family isn't coming across quirky as the author intended and the neighbour, well she's just written to sound like a child instead of a retiree with spunk. I want to like this series, so I'll keep an eye out for the next one and see if it shows improvement.
I finished a few while I was on my overseas vacation over the last couple of weeks!
All in all, a very good lot! I loved the Rhys Bowen books (particularly Royal Blood) and Annelise Ryan's Mattie Winston series - they were so much fun. Really enjoyed the Julie Hyzy, Ellen Crosby and Jenna Bennett ones, too, though I wish I hadn't spoiled myself with the description of the 3rd Savannah Martin book, because I'm not sure I like where the relationship part is heading.
The only ones I didn't really like were the first two in the Regan Reilly series by Carol Higgins Clark; felt like they promised a lot but didn't deliver any real substance.
During my recent vacation to Mazatlan, along with scouring the galley proofs for Wicked Eddies for errors, I managed to read 2 mystery books while lounging by the pool or ocean. I enjoyed Carolyn Hart's Engaged to Die, and I very much enjoyed Nancy Pickard's The Whole Truth. In fact, I put the other two titles in that series on my to-read list, and my husband is reading THE WHOLE TRUTH now.
Just finished Mrs.Pollifax, Innocent Tourist. Only one book remains in the series, sadly. This is an older series I discovered, and have thoroughly enjoyed her adventures.
I just finished Death of a Witch by M.C. Beaton. I am looking forward to the next few stories, but I am a bit sad that I'm near the end. I hope that she continues to write more books in this series.

Just finished
Evan and Elle - This is the 4th book in the Constable Evans mystery series by Rhys Bowen. I'm really enjoying this series. This is the first mystery series she authored before Molly Murphy and Her Royal Spyness. Too bad there are only 8 of them.
I just finished
...4*s..this is the 3rd book in the Coffeehouse Mystery series & Im really liking them. Looking forward to reading the 4th book very soon.

I've actually enjoyed all of them so far...even Chapter and Hearse ;)

, which I really, really enjoyed!"Just finished that too! I really liked it.
Ever since we had Dick Francis as author I come back to him often. I just finished: [bookcover:Wild Horses|8545.My review:his book was slow on mystery, but very interesting so I wanted to keep reading. When they first had this author as monthly ready on Cozy Mystery group and I saw it was horse racing, I though UGH. did not at all sound like my "cup of tea." but guess what. this is my 4th book of his. I go awhile, but keep coming back. I did like his others more I think since they were a little bit more exciting especially the 2nd one I read, but there is just some quality his books have I have not gotten anywhere else. I would not like a steady diet of them, but they are like a gourmet dish that is good, but savoring and cannot eat to fast and do not want too often. And at least my library has them. That is a good thing.( Especially since I never got to read books for either of my clubs since loans from inter library just came in a month long wait. Now we are in new books.)
Julia wrote: "Just finished Mrs.Pollifax, Innocent Tourist. Only one book remains in the series, sadly. I've read most of them at least twice and will probably read them again at some point.
Just finished Three to Get Deadly. Love this series. Saw the movie last night, and it was lots of fun. My husband enjoyed it, too.

I'm assuming you guys saw that Gilman died yesterday? Her obit was in the Times.
Finished Why Shoot a Butler?
day before yesterday. This dragged occasionally near the beginning but once it picked up, I raced through it. I love the English country home life it evoked and the sardonic nature of Amberly is quite humorous at times. I'll be reading more of these!
Second book in the Someday Quilts series. Light reading, details on beginning art class & beginning to quilt (I liked the quilt shop details).

Finished two books this weekend: Sleeping With Anemone: by Kate Collins, and Dorothy L. Sayers: The Complete Stories. The latter is an anthology started in August 2010, when Sayers was the featured author. I've been reading a few short stories at a time, and am glad to have finally finished it.

Just finished Tombs of Endearment by Casey Daniels and UGH! Now I really, really need book four, Night of the Loving Dead. Hate it when they end on a cliff hanger...

Michelle, if you can get this one, then do! It is the best in the series and all of them are great. I really loved this one though. There were tears in the end (mostly mine :).
I finished both Working Stiff and Scared Stiff by Annelise Ryan, last week and absolutely loved them both! Can't wait to get my hands on Frozen Stiff.
Cinette wrote: "I finished both Working Stiff and Scared Stiff by Annelise Ryan, last week and absolutely loved them both! Can't wait to get my hands on Frozen Stiff."I read these last year and really enjoyed all of them!
Cinette wrote: "I finished both Working Stiff and Scared Stiff by Annelise Ryan, last week and absolutely loved them both! Can't wait to get my hands on Frozen Stiff."Ditto what Melodie said...I enjoyed them too!
I've read them all, as well as all her standalones. My favorite of her books is The Tightrope Walker. So sorry we've lost her. RIP, Dorothy.Kris

Not my favorite Christie but easy to follow and read and I could hardly put it down so it had to be good.
