Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I grabbed it yesterday when it was free for Kindle...Look forward to reading it!

I just read it and already got book 2 from the library.

That series lost me after the dumpster diving one. Euuuw."
The dumpster diving didn't get me so much, but that was the last one I read. For me I grew increasingly tired of sister Trish and Bob. The main character just wasn't a strong enough draw to offset the detractors in the series.

I know what you mean. I NEVER liked Tricia and could never understand why everyone loved her. I thought she was that word that rhymes with ditch and liked her sister better than her!

I've only read the first one in this series, haven't gotten my hands on the others yet. Look forward to trying them now because I just have to know if I will think the same or not.

I have had people come up to me and say that they saw me reading in the drive-thru lane the other day! Yep. I carry mine everywhere too.

I have been trying to get my hands on this one! I love this author!! So good. I have loved everything I have read by her.

I have this one coming up, glad to hear it will be a good one. :-)

All in all, a very good lot! I loved the Rhys Bowen books (particularly Royal Blood) and Annelise Ryan's Mattie Winston series - they were so much fun. Really enjoyed the Julie Hyzy, Ellen Crosby and Jenna Bennett ones, too, though I wish I hadn't spoiled myself with the description of the 3rd Savannah Martin book, because I'm not sure I like where the relationship part is heading.
The only ones I didn't really like were the first two in the Regan Reilly series by Carol Higgins Clark; felt like they promised a lot but didn't deliver any real substance.

There's a new one coming out this month. Check the list of new releases for this discussion group.

I've actually enjoyed all of them so far...even Chapter and Hearse ;)

Just finished that too! I really liked it.

My review:his book was slow on mystery, but very interesting so I wanted to keep reading. When they first had this author as monthly ready on Cozy Mystery group and I saw it was horse racing, I though UGH. did not at all sound like my "cup of tea." but guess what. this is my 4th book of his. I go awhile, but keep coming back. I did like his others more I think since they were a little bit more exciting especially the 2nd one I read, but there is just some quality his books have I have not gotten anywhere else. I would not like a steady diet of them, but they are like a gourmet dish that is good, but savoring and cannot eat to fast and do not want too often. And at least my library has them. That is a good thing.( Especially since I never got to read books for either of my clubs since loans from inter library just came in a month long wait. Now we are in new books.)

Julia, I love the Mrs. Pollifax series too as well as the other books by Dorothy Gilman. I've read most of them at least twice and will probably read them again at some point.

Julia, ..."
I'm assuming you guys saw that Gilman died yesterday? Her obit was in the Times.

Second book in the Someday Quilts series. Light reading, details on beginning art class & beginning to quilt (I liked the quilt shop details).
My full review
Finished two books this weekend: Sleeping With Anemone: by Kate Collins, and Dorothy L. Sayers: The Complete Stories. The latter is an anthology started in August 2010, when Sayers was the featured author. I've been reading a few short stories at a time, and am glad to have finally finished it.

I didn't know that, and I'm sorry to hear it. I really enjoyed her books, very much.
Just finished Tombs of Endearment by Casey Daniels and UGH! Now I really, really need book four, Night of the Loving Dead. Hate it when they end on a cliff hanger...

Michelle, if you can get this one, then do! It is the best in the series and all of them are great. I really loved this one though. There were tears in the end (mostly mine :).

I read these last year and really enjoyed all of them!

Ditto what Melodie said...I enjoyed them too!
