I just finished
Hexes and Hemlines and I loved it. It is a paranormal cozy and the series gets better with each book IMHO.

. In this one, Agatha is staying off-season at a resort hotel recove..."I have listened to all of the Agatha books on audio so it sounds like that is a good thing because I get annoyed by errors.
I just finished Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. I tried one of the other Agatha Raisin books and didn't care for it, but I really liked this one.
I just finished
and i really enjoyed it alot. It was so funny in parts and a little gross. I really love Mattie Winston.
I just finished the first Garden mystery by Joyce and Jim Lavene called Pretty Poison. It was really good. I have the next two in the series that I will be getting to.
I just finished
and enjoyed it! Jennifer E. and Sherry (and anyone else I talked to about this), I totally understand what you mean about the difference between the Constable Evans series and the Royal Spyness/Molly Murphy series now. Evans Above is an interesting story but it's also very calm and laid-back, so while I'm looking forward to reading the next one, I'm not dying of anticipation or rushing to put it on top of my TBR pile. Not that I have much of a choice there, though; no library anywhere in the whole of northern Sydney has book 3, Evanly Choirs! I might end up having to buy the hardback for $26, since the paperbacks are out-of-print too.
Hannah, you should try betterworld books. There are two "kinds" of books- marketplace and non-marketplace. The non-marketplace definitely ships worldwide for free- no minimum purchase. You should double check the marketplace shipping rules. They're mostly used books though, if you don't object to books that aren't new.
Thanks for the heads-up about Betterworldbooks, Shay! I forgot about that site. I'm happy to get used books as long as they're not falling apart, so that's not a problem. I'll keep an eye on the marketplace and see whether anyone puts up a reasonably priced copy; mostly seems to be overpriced ex-library books at the moment.
Just read Truly, Madly by Heather Webber! Excellent first in the series. I read the whole book in one day,'cause I just couldn't put it down! I'm looking forward to the next in this series.
I finished Murder of a Pink Elephant. I know some people in this group are tired of Skye, but I find her and her family entertaining. Perhaps it's because I also work in a school and find that the descriptions of Skye's job ring true.

I love the Lucy Valentine books!
Just finished The Cat Who Sang for the Birds by our author of the month Lilian Jackson Braun. Enjoyed this one as usual.
Kathy wrote: "found Karen MacInerney the Gray Whale series. Really good. Good characters. First book Murder On the Rocks. Also now reading Historical Mysteries around 1890's. Charles Finch has a good series."
Kathy, I'm reading Murder on the Rocks right now and I'm really enjoying it! I've already check the library to make sure they have the 2nd book ;)
Julia wrote: "Just read Truly, Madly by Heather Webber! Excellent first in the series. I read the whole book in one day,'cause I just couldn't put it down! I'm looking forward to the next in this series."
Julia, it's such a fun series. I don't think you will be disappointed ;)

His first A Beautiful Blue Death
is very good. It was nominated for an Agatha award. You might also like C.S. Harris, hers are set in Regency England.Have you read the historical mysteries byVictoria Thompson or the Molly Murphy mysteries by Rhys Bowen? Both are set in New York.
Hannah wrote: "I just finished

Just finished another Agatha Raisin, The Wizard of Evesham. I had not read one in a while and found it very refreshing. Weird way to describe a book but there it is.
Dru - We think so much alike. I thought
was okay too. Just finished that and
. Thank goodness I still have more new books waiting in the TBR pile! I read so fast, it's pathetic. Then again, I'm retired now so I have more time to read all night if I feel like it. : )
I just finished reading A Taste of the Nightlife by Sarah Zettel which is the first Vampire Chef mystery. It was really good especially if you like supernatural with your mystery.
I just finished
and thought it was pretty good. I've just come off a Stephanie Plum bender (6 books in about 2 weeks or something) so I'm having a hard time re-integrating into other series right now. I forced myself to stop reading Plum books for fear of burn out, but it's making it hard to choose other books to read.

I'll be reading this one after
. I'm a vampire junkie!
Just finished
. I had a hard time getting into it but enjoyed it overall. I am going to try more by this author.
Jackie wrote: "Just finished
. I had a hard time getting into it but enjoyed it overall. I am going to try more by this author."I really enjoy this series and get through the books quite quickly. I think the series becomes more interesting after the first book. I always enjoy Helen's scenes with Margery Flax.
I just finished
and really enjoyed it. The mystery was probably one of the best ones I've read in a while. I knew it would all tie together and it did, but it wasn't corny. Also, not a problem if you not into horses.
Jackie wrote: "Just finished
. I had a hard time getting into it but enjoyed it overall. I am going to try more by this author."I didn't like this book, but the series finally grew on me with the 3rd book.
I just finished a mystery--I'm not sure it's cozy. It was "Madam, Will You Talk?" by Mary Stewart. Seems that it's a bit more suspenseful than cozies, but there was no graphic sex, violence, or language. And it was written very well. I'm most familiar with her Merlin series and was surprised to find out about her mysteries. Worth a read.
Mollie wrote: "I just finished a mystery--I'm not sure it's cozy. It was "Madam, Will You Talk?" by Mary Stewart. Seems that it's a bit more suspenseful than cozies, but there was no graphic sex, violence, or lan..."Mary Stewart wrote several romance suspense novels prior to the Merlin series. They are favorites of mine. Because they were published a few years ago ('70s), you may have to look for them at the library or at a UBS (used book store). I'm told Susanna Kearsley has a similar style.
Mollie wrote: "I just finished a mystery--I'm not sure it's cozy. It was "Madam, Will You Talk?" by Mary Stewart. Seems that it's a bit more suspenseful than cozies, but there was no graphic sex, violence, or lan..."Her books are well worth a read. I loved them! Romance, danger, mystery and strong heroines. All time favorite is The Ivy Tree.
I just finished Swift Justice and Skating Around the Lawand was really pleased with both of them. Both were enjoyable cozy mysteries that made me laugh.
Toni wrote: "I just finished

Albert. It was a lot of fun and a couple of parts made me laugh out loud, which I don't do easily when reading. Just a thought.
I finished reading The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag. I was afraid that I would not like the written version, since I listened to the first book in the series. I did like the story, though. I'm still upset over the sister's interactions. In my opinion Feely is vicious toward Flavia.
Another book down. Started and finished
. One thing I really like about this series is how easy the books are to read.
I just finished reading Deadly Threads by Elizabeth Casey. It's 2nd in the Southern Sewing Mystery series. I enjoyed the characters in the series, they become real to me when I read.
Marja wrote: "Toni wrote: "I just finished

Just finished
and quite enjoyed it. It's different, and the mystery was a good one, I thought. I'm looking forward to the next book.
I just finished Death of a DentistbyM.C. Beatonis was ok, but not as good as the others in the series.

I'll check her out! Thanks.;-)

Thanks! I'll try more in the series.

Thanks, Toni. I liked Margery much more than Helen in this book, but by the second half, I had started to enjoy all the characters more. I believe I'll enjoy the rest in the series. Going to give them a try!
Jennifer E. wrote: "Just finished

Caroline wrote: "Just finished
. I like how this series is progressing and how the main character is evolving. I enjoyed it."Caroline,I liked the first book in the series, too, and I'm waiting for the second one to arrive in the mail.I really love Nell's character, the writing style ( much better than the Apple Orchard Series )and the fact that it has museums as its main theme.

Good to know! I've already ordered it!
I finished
and it gave me some good laughs! The plot was nothing much, almost non-existent, but I can never say no to a new Stephanie Plum adventure-all the characters ( especially Lula and Granma Mazur )are one of a kind and I can't get enough of them!
