Fonduing Fathers by Julie Hyzy. I've now read through the series and love it.

Finished
and really liked it. I wasn't crazy about the first in this series. Glad I gave it another shot as the other books have been fun reads!

I recently read books 1 and 2 in this series, nd really liked them. They were The House on Tradd Street and The Girl On Legare Street. So I will read this one next.
Finished reading The Azalea Assault by Alyse Carlson last night before bed. It was okay, at least good enough I might be tempted to read book two. NOT that I need to get hooked on another series. There are too many I'm trying to catch up on now.
Not sure that people will consider it a cozy, more a police procedural, but little to no violence, sex, or bad language so I'll put it in... The Draining Lake by Arnaldur Indriðason
Very good (4 stars)
Just finished
. It was ok. I haven't read any others in the series, just stumbled upon this one at the library. I enjoyed the parts that took place in the tea shop the best.

Melodie wrote: I used to like this series, but don't read it anymore. Some of the characters just finally got on my last nerve!!I could see that. I found most of the characters kind of annoying, and the main character was kind of boring.

I just started reading it last year and took a trip to Charleston as a result, which was a blast. I read them all pretty fast, so I stayed into it. I have Sweet Tea Revenge that I want to start reading soon.
I just read book #8 in the tea shop series and can't wait to get to the next one. Yes, some of the characters drive me crazy, but real life is like that too :)
Barb wrote: "I just read book #8 in the tea shop series and can't wait to get to the next one. Yes, some of the characters drive me crazy, but real life is like that too :)"So true, lol. :)
Barb wrote: "I just read book #8 in the tea shop series and can't wait to get to the next one. Yes, some of the characters drive me crazy, but real life is like that too :)"Very true! But the real life ones I HAVE to put up with! The book ones I don't! LOL
I just finished the Root of all Trouble
by Heather Webber. You guys recommended her. I loved this one!
Jeanie wrote: "I just finished the Root of all Trouble

Stayed up far too late finishing The Cocoa Conspiracy. It was not terrible, but if I knew then what I know now, I would have skipped the series.
It took me a while, but I finished "Books Can Be Deceiving" by Jenn McKinlay.
A new-to-me Author & series.
Just finised the newest in the Loon Lake Fishing series
. I like the series though sometimes there's way too much info on fishing. Very likable characters and well written.
Finished
early this morning. I found it a little dated, till I remembered that it was published in 1999, when "cellular phones" were still relatively new and internet searches were much harder and less common :) Once I got past that, I liked the book and will add the next in the series to my list.
Just finished A Witch in Time. Really enjoyed it. The mystery wasn't as straight forward as you usually get with a cozy, and was a little heavier on the romance than I usually read, not to say it was too much romance, lol, anyway it was still quite a fun read. It's the second one in this series that I've read, kinda wishing I'd read them in order now but oh we'll. :)
Just finished
Murder for Choir, by Joelle Charbonneau. Loved it!! Excellent detail, dialogue, and characterization. Jumping straight into the 2nd book in the series now!

A nice rainy day for reading. I finished "Due Or Die" by Jenn McKinlay.
...I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in her series. Much better than her first in the "Library Lover's Mystery series (IMHO) I will be reading "#3, Book, Line and Sinker" when I can get it.

Finished Scraps of Paper last week and found it entertaining. Predictable plot line but writing was very readable and characters were interesting. I did feel more of a connection with the supporting male character than the lead female character, who I found a little inconsistent somehow.
Tee wrote: "DonnaCarol wrote: "A nice rainy day for reading. I finished "Due Or Die" by Jenn McKinlay.
...I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in her series. Much better than he..."Yes Tee, much better. I had no trouble staying in this one. She corrected several issues in this one that bothered me in the first book of the series. No monotonous detail that didn't add to the story, toned down one of the most irritating, disagreeable characters to a more tolerable, believable level, characters had more depth in this one,and she nailed it on having more than just one good suspect (which I think she neglected to do in #1) and the chemistry between two of the characters was so well done that my heart actually pitter-pattered a few times. lol...I hope that she does as well with #3 in the series. Hoping for the best.

Susie in KS wrote: "Just finished

I guess book #4 will be my own personal litmus test.

This is one of my favorite series, too. I'd love to be more like Savannah.
Just finished the second in this series
. I like the series but the MC cries at the drop of a hat. Way too emotional and immature.

Finished Due Or Die by Jenn McKinlay. I really enjoyed this one. At one point, I had a tear down my cheek and the very next sentence had me L O L. I had a few issues with the book...a few too many typo's, a couple of reactions to situations that I found to be a bit unrealistic and the book had at least three characters that were very very similar to some found in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.. So, that said, if you like the Plum series, you should like this one. Witty humor well done, flows nicely...fun, light and cozy.
Just finished
maybe it's the accountant in me, but this is one of my favorite series right now: Tara cracks me up!
Just got done with
and found it mediocre. I liked the author's other series but this one seemed dull and lifeless.
I hadn't read Martha Grimes for quite a while, but our local mystery book club chose The Man With A Load of Mischief. I found the characterization good and the book was funny in parts. A generally good read!

My copy of this arrived yesterday. Will get to it soon. I do accounting, too, kicking & screaming the whole way! This is never what I wanted to do, but I'm good at it....so it's what I do!

My copy is on it's way and I look forward to diving in.
Melodie - that's exactly how I feel about IT - kicking and screaming the whole way, but I'm good at it, so here I am! lol
