What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)
Wow, I can't imagine an author not caring about her readers' opinions. Then again, maybe those who don't like the triangle are outnumbered by those who DO like it -- or at least those who don't mind it?

I'm curious Melodie - What was her reply to you??

It was something really kind of stupid sounding, like she couldn't make up Hannah's mind for her, so however long it took. I was completely dumbfounded and should have stopped reading the books then!
Finished
The Homicide Hustle: A Ballroom Dance Mystery and really liked it. I'm not sure why I like this series so much as the heroine is not the type of character I usually like.

And of course you all know I'm right behind you cheering for a 3rd in this series! Seriously. I'm like stalking the author on Facebook and everything :)

Well if SHE can't make up Hannah's mind then nobody can!! wow!!

p.s. keep stalking the Haunting Jordan author so you can give me an update when book 3 is done :)

She has another series out that she started
and from what I can tell book 2 of that series will be the next one released, then a "second" book later this year. I'm hoping said "second" book release will be about Jordan.Has anyone else read this other series? I'm tempted.

Bandmama wrote: "I just finished

I've not read the Killing Tide series by P.J. Alderman - the premise doesn't hook me nearly as much as the Jordan series. I'm at work now, but when I get home I'll check out her Facebook page and perhaps start stalking her as well. :D

Thank you for sharing with me. I think your review was the first one I saw and thought well dang - there's another one I have to read lol. One of my new bosses shamelessly brought me an uh, paranormal romance that I'm going to finish first.
You know . . . . for my boss :)

I loved the chemistry there too and the mystery surrounding Rafe and trying to figure him out is killing me ..... in a good way.
The later books get even better, I swear! (Although I'm guessing not as "better" as er, "The Darkest Night" - you dedicated employee you!)
❂ Jennifer wrote: "The later books get even better, I swear! (Although I'm guessing not as "better" as er, "The Darkest Night" - you dedicated employee you!)"mwahahaha. That made me laugh. I think I read like 1 romance for every 25 cozies but I must admit I enjoy them too lol.
I've tried to read a few romances, cuz I do enjoy some "tension" - but I think I like it more when it's secondary to the plot instead of the plot itself. Every time I've tried to read a romance it just feels too predictable and ultimately I've felt a bit let down by the end...
I just finished reading Christmas at The Mysterious Bookshop. I know, odd time to read a Christmas oriented book but it came to my attention so I read it while I was thinking about it. It is a collection of 17 short stories. I'm not a real short story fan but I do like bibliomysteries and these stories all center around a real bookstore in NYC called "The Mysterious Bookshop" (of course, what else would it be called lol). It was a 3 star for me.
Just finished
and I think that Prozac is probably my favorite fictional pet from all the books I have read.

I think I have one of these on my Kindle, so now I have to check, too!
Susie in KS wrote: "Just finished

Susie in KS wrote: "Just finished

I just finished read Aunt Dimity's Death. I put it off thinking I wasn't going to enjoy it , but I loved it!
Heidi (trust me) wrote: "We seem to like similar books Jennifer and I only like certain romances - have you reading anything by Sarah Addison Allen or Kristan Higgins??? ..."Heidi - I've had my eye on Garden Spells for ages, but haven't yet read it. Any particular recommendations from either of these authors?
Jennifer Garden Spells is a good one (kind of reminds me of that movie Practical Magic) -- as far as Kristan Higgins I loved Just One of the Guys
- if you read either of them let me know!
Just finished
. I enjoyed it tremendously, but was surprised by the ending. I'll very curious to see what the next installment brings.

You and Melody will like it I think :)
I just finished
End Me a Tenor and really enjoyed it! Joelle Charbonneau has quickly become a favorite of mine between this series and her Rebecca Robbins books. Have an ARC for her YA dystopian that comes out in June that I plan to start tomorrow. If you're looking for a new author, don't hesitate to try this woman's books!
Melodie wrote: "Yay! I do have it on my Kindle! Think I'll try and start it this weekend!"Heidi (trust me) wrote: "Yay Bandmama - and I got it for free which makes it even better!"
I'm with Bandmama on this one - I think both of you will like the series quite a bit. Edgier than her Do-it-yourself series. In fact I might do a re-read while waiting for my newest batch of cozies to arrive. :)
ETA: Thought I'd add that I'm talking about the series as a whole - I devoured them one after the other, so the whole 5 or 6 books sorta blend into one... But they get better with each book, I think. :)

Just finished Death of a Kitchen Diva. It was not great, but fun to read on my iPhone when I had nothing else to do, like waiting in line at the grocery store, etc. :)
I think next I'm gonna read a paranormal cozy, anyone have any good recommendations? I really enjoyed No Rest for the Wiccan.

Just finished Out of Circulation by Miranda James. Loved this new edition to a great series. Can't wait for the next adventure for Charlie and Diesel.

She didn't care a few books ago, as evidenced by the reply I got from her when I e-mailed her about it. Maybe she's starting to change her mind now? One can only hope!
