I just finished "The Companion", by Carolann Hays. It was a page turner to say the least. There was humor, suspense, and I really got into the characters. I'd recommend that book to anyone.

Finished Nightshade on Elm Street yesterday. Must have been the mood I was in, but I found it just so-so.
Finished Nowhere to Run last night, and liked it a lot, although this confirms my need to read a series in order. I listened to book #9 in this series several months ago -- our library was withdrawing audiobooks that hadn't circulated well, and I snagged that one. The book I just finished reading is #6 in the series -- and between the two books, there's a *major difference in the personal life of one of the main characters! Now I need to read books 7 and 8 to see what happened and why!
Just finished two cozies: Footsteps in the Dark and And Then You Dye. I thought Footsteps was a lot of fun although the characters could be a little silly at times. I was disappointed in the Monica Ferris book as I thought the writing was a little uneven. I keep reading this series because I like her descriptions of Crewel World, the needlework shop.
Finished No Way To Kill a Lady. I was glad to see another book in this series and hope there are more.
I just finished
. I really enjoyed it. It was the first book I've read from the Donut Shop series and plan to read more!
Melissa wrote: "Finished No Way To Kill a Lady. I was glad to see another book in this series and hope there are more."There's another coming late this spring, I believe. I have it on order, but forget the release date.

Thanks, I didn't know. I just looked it up and it gave August 6th as release date.
Melodie wrote: "Finished
. Not loving this series as much as I did. But at least the "triangle" is settled!"So it's not just me! I've found myself thinking about dropping it - it just isn't keeping my attention the way the first couple of books did...
I just finished Buffalo West Wing last night and it's my favorite of the series so far! (view spoiler)
❂ Jennifer wrote: "I just finished Buffalo West Wing last night and it's my favorite of the series so far! [spoilers removed]"Ohhh yay! I have that on tap to read next (another one of my series with 3 or less books left for me to get caught up -- my 2013 goal). I just got it from the library this weekend.
Wellll, I just tore through the next one too - Affairs of Steak. Ms Hyzy has found her sweet spot, I think. Another excellent read - I couldn't put it down towards the end!
LOL - I couldn't wait - I had to see what happened next and just devoured Fonduing Fathers (thank heavens DH had plans to play soccer tonight!). This series has become a serious favorite over the last three books and this one was just excellent!
I just finished Due or Die which I enjoyed. This is the second in the series but I hadn't read the first so I'll have to go back. Very entertaining read.
Just finished Slay Bells and Satchels by Dorothy Howell. Not sure if this is considered a cozy, but really like this series.

Liora wrote: "I finished

Melissa wrote: "Just finished Slay Bells and Satchels by Dorothy Howell. Not sure if this is considered a cozy, but really like this series."It's definitely a cozy. I planned to get to that one over the holidays, but didn't. Will probably get it read soon.
I finished
and I had a blast reading it! Tara was quite a character and I intend to read more about her in the next books in the series!
Zoe wrote: "I finished

Seriously, it's a really fun series, and it's getting better as it goes too.
I *just finished Crocodile on the Sandbank. I wasn't too keen on it at first, but the story -- and the characters -- grew on me as the book progressed. I've added #2 in the series to my TBR :) Not sure what's up next, I'll have to look at the list of library due dates to figure that out.
I just finished
and liked it. Nice, light read and I enjoyed visualizing the old homes, as we lived in the Bay Area for several years.

That one was too slow for me. I haven't read anymore so if they are better let me know.
I just finished
. It was OK, I think I would enjoy this series more if I liked the main character better.

It will probably be awhile before I get to book #2, but I'll do my best to remember to report back when I do read it :)
I just finished Bats and Bones, a Frannie Shoemaker Campground series book. You can read my review on Goodreads and Amazon. It was a fun book and I recommend it.
Well, this had a bit more violence than the typical cozy, but an excellent book just the same - Devil in a Blue Dress,
Melodie wrote: "Liked
, too. Much better than the first one!"I've got this one on my Kindle Melodie. If I can finish up my library book, I think I will read it soon!
Betty wrote: "I just finished Bats and Bones, a Frannie Shoemaker Campground series book. You can read my review on Goodreads and Amazon. It was a fun book and I recommend it."That's good to hear Betty! I downloaded that one too :)
I recently finished Who do, Voodoo? by Rochelle Stabb. Its the first in the mind for murder mystery series. It was a pretty good read, however, it didn't hold my interest like many of the other cozies I've read. i plan on continuing with the series unless something major makes the series go downhill. Im currently reading latte trouble by cleo coyle.I really enjoy this series!
