What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)

I haven't yet read that one, but it's on my list to get to soon! Glad to hear you liked it :)

Yep - that bugged me to no end as well and said so in my review of the book. Completely inconsistent with the rest of the story thus far. And it felt like an afterthought/add-on.

In other words, a very good read and a solid first-in-series.

Always happy to add to others TBR mountains! LOL

I love Elizabeth Peters!

I 've just found a new favorite mystery author!"
I like this series too. I think a new one comes out soon.

That's right, Heidi. It's called "Every Trick In The Book" and it's coming out in February.

Yikes! Then I'd better read the first one soon so I don't start out being behind on yet *another series!

LOVED this one. The twist at the end really got me.

I heard there will be a fourth book, called "Dead Suite".

Yes, but it will only be available in ebook form. Which is fine if you have an ereader--which I don't. I downloaded both the Nook and Kindle aps for computer, but just can't read long works off a computer. It's too hard on the eyes, not to mention I can't get comfortable enough at my desk.

I understand. The same happens with me, that's why I've downloaded Kindle on my i-phone and it works much better that way.

I agree the iPhone/iPod is better than the desktop computer in terms of reading comfort, but I dislike the little screen. Still better than nothing I suppose.

Thanks Dizzy...I think I need to move this one up in the TBR pile :)

I like the idea of different story lines. Did they all come together at the end the way Seinfeld does? :).

2 great series! There's a new one coming for Wendy Roberts Ghost Dusters series, but it's only available electronically.

Hahaha sort of! Check it out! =p

Anytime! I definitely recommend this one. :)

I'm glad to hear you liked that one since I ordered it and will read it shortly!

This one is coming up soon for me!

up next, another new author - Jess Lourey, starting May Day.

Doesn't sound promising. I have this one nearing the top of The Pile.

That's the one. With any other writer it would have been enough to totally ruin the book, IMO. With McKinlay it took from a usual 5-star read to more like 3.5.
