The cozy I just finished reading is Wicked Autumn by G.M. Malliet. About a MI5 agent that changed jobs to become a pastor in the Anglican church. He is stationed (if that is the correct word) in a small village Neather Monkslip what a great name! One of the best new series I have read in a while!

The ending has an Agatha Christie twist. There are three in this series. I enjoyed them all and hope she will continue both series. Death of a Cozy Writer was nominated for an Agatha award.
I just finished
and
. I really like this series. The characters are well done and there is just a touch of supernatural to spice the series up.
Finished
which was okay. Far better than the first one in this series. I did find the historical story part of the book to be much more interesting than the part taking place in 1982. Also finished
which was typical Plum escapism!
A few days ago I finished A Spoonful of Murder by Connie Archer, and thought it was very entertaining. I love New England settings, and this debut mystery fits the bill nicely.
I just finished
an Amish Mystery, and the first in a series by Laura Bradford. I really liked the character development - you felt like you were getting to know everyone and learn something about the Amish, as well! I thought it was a great first book in a series.

You might add Paige Shelton, too.
I just finished "Chocolate Dipped Death" by Sammi Carter, which i really enjoyed. This was the 2nd book in her candy shop series and I've really liked them both, so I plan to read the rest as well! I definitely didn't see the ending coming! =p
I just finished reading
and really liked it. Just when I thought I knew who all the suspects were, someone else became a suspect as well, and the ending caught me by surprise! Plus, you have to love Diesel, the Maine Coon cat that accompanies his person everywhere!
I finished
but I thought it was so-so. The killer's motive didn't appear convincing and wasn't justified, in my opinion. I gave it three stars though, as I really enjoyed the ghost of the pirate following Dae around! He was a hoot!
I just finished
An Appetite for Murder, the first in a new series by Lucy Burdette. The main character is a young/new food critic living on Key West. Although she's one of the stereotypical cozy characters -- moved to Key West for a guy, got dumped, now has to make her own way or move back home with Mom or Dad, and although she seems to babble incessantly about annoying details whenever she's nervous, I liked her and her friends well enough to read the next in the series.

Don't be worried Heidi, it was still a good book :)
I just finished Until Our Last Embrace by the husband and wife team of Joyce and Jim Lavene. This is the 4th book in the Sheriff Sharyn Howard Mystery series. I haven't read the first three yet. This book can be read and enjoyed out of sequence but it does refer back (alot) to things that happened in the other books so I think it would be better to read the books in sequence. The first one in the series is Last Dance (I have it on order at the library).By the way, since we are all book lovers I thought I would mention a website that my daughter brought to my attention: www.bookpeopleunite.org. The mission is to get books into the hands of underpriviliged kids. Check it out.
Troll wrote: "Just finished reading Murder is a Piece of Cake...what a great read!"I agree. This series is SO much better than Viets' Dead End Jobs series!
I finished
yesterday and I absolutely loved it! Juliet Blackwell is one of my favorite cozy authors!
Dru Ann wrote: "I just finished
Mistletoe, Merriment, and Murder by Sara Rosett and it was a good read."I have this one coming up later this week!
Zoe wrote: "I finished

Melodie wrote: "Zoe wrote: "I finished

Melodie, I'm happy it's just one day away!
I just finished
, the first book in the White House Chef Mysteries. I loved how the author takes you behind the scenes with the White House chefs and how they operate! Fascinating! I liked Ollie, the heroine, but I'm not so sure about the boyfriend - I'm reserving my opinion until I read the next book!
Kari wrote: "I just finished Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
It was OK but I did find the mystery easy to solve."I read the first two books and was not really into that series like it seems a lot of people are so I quit.
Just finished Croaked: an Edgar Rowdey Cape Cod Mystery - mostly cozy, but a lot more "f-bombs" than I was expecting.
This morning I finished reading Double-Booked for Death by Ali Brandon. I enjoyed the author's style tremendously, and did not guess the killer! In fact, I had pegged someone else altogether as the killer, and was so sure I was right. I've already added the second book in this series to my Christmas list.
I just finished
byDebbie Macomber. I thought it was a very sweet, short read just perfect for the Christmas season. It made me think about all the times in my life I've felt like I was getting a little extra "help"!
Dru Ann wrote: "I just finished
, Skating on the Edge, by Joelle Charbonneau and this is a great read."I haven't read either of this author's skating books, but I read
and loved it!
I've just finished Sweet Revenge and I thought it was a very interesting and intriguing historical cozy. The plot was well woven, with many twists and turns. I'll soon start reading the next book in the series.
Dru Ann wrote: "I finished
by Lois Winston"I haven't heard of this one! I'm curious to see how you like it ;)
❂ Jennifer wrote: "Just shut Notorious Nineteen. Excellent. Is it just me or was it reminiscent of the earlier Plums?"I found it WAY better than EXPLOSIVE EIGHTEEN, but still not up to the earlier standards.
I just finished Fonduing Fathers by Julie Hyzy. The sixth book in the A White House Chef Mystery series. I would say this is the best so far.
Joanne wrote: "I just finished

Dru Ann wrote: "I finished The Light Keeper's Legacy,
by Kathleen Ernst and it was a good read."I found the the story that took place in the past in this one quite interesting. The one that took place in "current time", not so much. I think I'll leave this series alone from now on. I read the first one a couple of years ago, and REALLY didn't like it. This one sounded interesting so I gave it a shot. Probably shouldn't have.
