Hi

This is a small group but could grow... what is the most surreal book anyone has read?

(Visit me at my blog: http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com)

Love to have some friends. love to have some fans!

Katy (katyas-69) It has to be one that I just read, "What it Tastes Like to be Sane" by Sean Ahern

Of course, I haven't read "Of Ducks and Universes" yet, so it may beat out this one ... :-)

Well both titles sound intriguing!:-)

Katy (katyas-69) I got the 2nd wrong - it's "Regarding Ducks and Universes" ....

Then again, the first post (I had to edit it) I put down "what it smells like to be sane" - I guess it would probably make as much sense, but it would be pretty hard to find ... LOL Speaking of What It Tastes Like to Be Sane, if you are curious I have reviewed it.

Hi Katy

This seems to 'our' thread - I may yet write a novel with no logical meaning. maybe I could start at the end and work my way backwards...!

Anyway anyone else ...

Hello all - Just a quick hello and reminder that my new short story is available on my Blog (I'm a fantasy/humour author mostly)!

http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com

A story about a chap who may seem very familiar to those who are heavily into Fantasy literature or films!(less)

Still love people to get my book:

Katy (katyas-69) I don't think I make much sense at any time ... maybe I should just start typing stream-of-consciousness and see what comes out ... I often think aloud this way and my brain often runs ahead of my fingers and then it is hard for me to keep up and make sense of what is coming out because I can't keep up and my fingers get all tangled and stuff ... but it can be amusing to see how my mind works sometimes ... hmm ... what's that sound? Oh, something shiny *boing boing*

Cameron Straughan (kadath_press) | 3 comments It would have to be Maldoror (Les Chants de Maldoror)
by Comte de Lautreamont - the one that started it all!

The compilation The Dedalus Book of Surrealism: The Identity of Things is an excellent cross-section of surreal writing.
