I feel kind of guilty though when people from Vanuatu want to be my friend. Because we both live in Vanuatu.

You should be #1."

As long as you don't smell like #2.

I like it when one of my radiators comes on for the first time in 3 years. Why that happened, I have no idea. But it suggests that I don't need to call a heating/plumbing person. I don't even care that it happened on a warm day, or that it killed a few strands of my lobelia.

message 209: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments LG, do you bleed your radiators? (To release trapped air.)

message 210: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
I haven't yet. Would that be what prevents them from generating heat?

I like it when I don't have a coupon but the cashier swipes one for me anyway.

message 212: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Lobstergirl wrote: "I haven't yet. Would that be what prevents them from generating heat?"

Maybe, if they have a big air pocket inside instead of hot water. Also, mine (radiators) have a couple of wheels on the side the regulate temperature. Mr. Cynthia has a turnkey to turn each radiator on or off.

I like it when I make a commitment to being bird-free.

And when Summer shows herself a few weeks early.

I like it when the sun stays out late and days seem long and langorous.

I like it that I have nothing but five novels ahead in my six preps.

I like it when I read a story like this:

Good Samaritan: Victim 'needed my help'
Updated 4:24 p.m.

Longtime Lincoln Square resident Ron Psenka roused himself quickly when he heard a woman being assaulted in an alley near his home early Saturday. He grabbed a shovel and, not wearing shoes, helped chase the suspect down a few blocks away.

It was a damn cabdriver! Wtf?? Grrr.

Grandma (my mom) "Haley would you like some peanut butter crackers with me?" (when she came home from school).

The Youngest: "no thank you grandma. I am exhausted. We have been crunching the numbers all week" (She is taking the FCAT, Florida standardized testing).

That one is hilarious.

Edith = patron saint of Europe and martyrs.
Raphael = patron saint of travelers and good health

Neither seems predisposed to success in softball, but "St. Edith Martyrs" is a totally cool team name.

Unfortunately they went with the more pedestrian "Eagles."
