I like it when something makes clicking noises in my locust tree at night. I think it's an insect. From the sound of it, a big insect. But I really have no idea.

Today I looked down and this enormous ant was crawling on my foot. The size of a cricket.

Since we're talking about bugs, I took this picture the other day of one bug crawling along with a smaller one riding on its back. The larger one is about 3 in. long.

i like it when the power goes out at my local ice cream shop and they have to fire sale all of the ice cream at ridiculously discounted prices.

I like that warm-and-fuzzy feeling I get that comes with knowing I'm truly back in Detroit upon walking up on a cabbie brawl (Arabs vs. Jamaicans) between the bus stop and my office.

For the record, the Jamaicans fed the Arabs their lunch. It was incredible. If the cops hadn't pulled up, they would have had to send for the medical examiner.
