Haha! Ingatkan tak ada yang perasan.

Saya biasanya suka reserve list ni sampai hujung tahun.

Betul.. 24 is sooo much closer to 50, as compared to me. I've already given up hope on reaching 50 this year. Ini pun baru nak bernyawa sikit, after moving on to a new job.. :p

NON-FICTION:

9. O Beloved Son / Wahai Annakku Tercinta (Imam al-Ghazali)

FICTION:

Setelah kecewa kerana tidak dapat membeli 3 novel Jodi Picoult daripada Borders.com dan Kobobooks, saya pun terbeli dan terbaca romance reads ini :-(

17. Legend (Jude Deveraux)

Jude Deveraux's stuff as I remember it, is not as erotic as Judith McNaught's. I'm surprised to have enjoyed this novel. Maybe a wind of change once in a blue moon is okay.

18. The Duke and I (Julia Quinn)

Is it my imagination or are all romance writers prefer a pseudonym that begins with letter 'J'? Not that I've read that many, but Jude Deveraux, Julia Quinn (my first time), J. Cooper (never read but I suspect her stuff is all about romance, judging from the book cover), and Judith McNaught are among the authors that first come to mind.

This novel is quite raunchy, but not as bad as Judith McNaught's novels. Bila dah sampai penghujung tu, macam biasalah romance reads ni, tak ada yang tak berakhir dengan happily ever after. *yawn*

So, total books read to date: 27 titles

FICTION

19. The Secret Adversary - Agatha Christie

The first novel in Tommy and Tuppence series. I like it, especially because this is the first time I successfully guess the right criminal.

20. The Velveteen Rabbit - Margery Williams

How I love children's books - not for their simplicity, but for the borderless imagination.

21. Anne of Ingleside (reread) - LM Montgomery

The one series that I never got bored of re-reading. Love the part where Little Jem made an effort to buy pearl necklace for his mother as a birthday present.

That makes it in total 30 books so far.

Najibah wrote: "Nana, cannot buy because of georestriction or titles not available in Kobobooks?"

Borders says the titles I order are not available for our country, so that must be georestriction.

At Kobobooks, the same titles are simply not available there. Maybe Kobo apps has already detected our IP, so its bookstore will only display titles available for each specific country.

FICTION

22. Letters To My Mother (Rebecca Heath)

A free ebook that I stumbled upon when searching for books with keyword "letters" at Kobo. Sometimes free is not always a bad thing - there are quality, free, ebooks out there that you can take delight in. I must say it's the title that captivates me, for I happen to be writing my journal in letter-writing style - most of them are letters to my mother. The storyline turns out to be focusing on romance, academic life and achievement (which is good 'coz at least both male and female characters have brains, unlike Edward Cullen and Bella Swan!), and sailing.

Total to date: 32 titles

Ingatkan dapat lebihkan buku bukan fiksyen berbanding fiksyen - resolusi saya pada tahun berapa entah. Tapi masih tak berjaya juga. The temptation of fiction is too great.

Nana, saya pun ditarik-tarik oleh fiksyen. Tahun ni baru baca 17 buku, 8 saja daripadanya bukan fiksyen.

Najibah, I set a more realistic goal last time. For every 2 fiction books, I must read a non-fiction book.

Yours is almost balanced it seems.

I've come to the unbearably boring part of "Leave Me Alone, I'm Reading" that I decided to push it aside for a while and read these two instead:

FICTION

26. The Lost Prince, by Frances H. Burnett

NON-FICTION

12. The Last Lecture, by Randy Pausch (reread)

Total to date: 38 titles

FICTION

27. Her Sister's Shadow (Katherine Britton)

The first fiction ebook that I don't regret buying! Love the beautiful cover, too.

NON-FICTION

13. Archery: Steps To Success (Kathleen M. Haywood, Katherine F. Lewis)

A step-by-step guide to archery written by female archers! That's my kind of book. Love the way the steps are illustrated and explained, but dislike the fact that this is rather an old copy belonging to the library. (I always prefer new books. I'm selfish and fussy, so what.)

Total to date: 40 titles

Pembacaan dah slow sikit sejak semester baru bermula. It's my final semester, insya Allah, and I hope to achieve the highest GPA.

Anyway, because I work in a library, there's still a chance for light reading, so here goes:

FICTION

Satu sahaja. Buku lain masih in-progress.
