What are your hobbies?

I am so the same way. I can bake, not cook. HAH!

I have a real housewives obsession too. I love the beverly hills and new jersey housewives. I'm a sucker!

I love Real Housewives too--such a guilty pleasure! Watching their petty drama makes me feel so good about myself. (Is that awful?!)
My favorite hobby as of now is my yoga practice. I started a year ago to help me de-stress from school and I just fell in love with it. It is so much more physical than I imagined before I started. I've always been active, but I can tell that yoga has really increased my core and upper body strength! It's so nice to just have an hour or two to clear my mind!

Yoga can be done at any age. Yoga is really about you, and your body/mind/soul. There are different "levels" you can do in each position and its up to you on how you push yourself. I encourage anyone to do it because I think it is calming and makes me feel at peace with everything, especially if I had a hard day. So, my answer is yes :)

Physical activity is highly recommended for patients with OA. I would think yoga would be a great way to increase you physical activity and, in the long run, help to reduce any joint pain you experience.

Ashley, thanks for the input. For someone with OA and not to mention two herniated discs, I'm more active than most with OA. Either I'm luckier than most or just plain stubborn :-) My big deal is recovery time with most exercises. I'm definitely going to give it a try at least.

That's awesome! Yoga is rather low impact, so I think the recovery time would be minimal other than sore muscles. I'd be wary of any inversions though with your herniated disks. I hope you enjoy it though! I love it! And, like Rachel said, it really does incorporate body, mind, and soul--so you get a bit of spiritual healing as well which is just as important! :)

Yes! No problem! I really think Yoga may be able to help you possibly grow stronger :)

Reading and watching TV mostly, anymore. And then I only watch TV at night with my hubby. And cooking, though I'm hardly a gourmet chef or anything...I just enjoy cooking what I'm able to cook. All the rest of my time goes to my kids, though, so I don't have time to get out and do anything else. Maybe when the kids are older I'll pick something up. :)

Obviously, reading is my number 1 hobby. I also blog about books, which goes hand in hand with it.
I do a lot of things with my husband and he is a hobby jumper, as I like to call him.
I looove saltwater fishing down in Tampa Bay, FL. We try to that at least twice a year. We also shoot rifles together at a shooting range, which I love. I shoot a recurve bow, too, and I'm pretty good at it, but I need more practice. And I recently discovered how fun it is to shoot skeet (or pigeons, as some people call them).
I like to draw, mess around with paints, and decorate. I like making collages, too, but I have yet to get into anything serious like scrap-booking. My husband and I recently refinished our bedroom furniture and I had a blast doing it.
I think that's pretty much it at the moment. =)

That is great you speak so many languages! I'm learning Spanish and I am in love with it. That is amazing that you can speak such a diverse group of languages. Kudos!

Will do, thank you. I do love the way it sounds. I'm excited to start reading in another language as it was meant to be read.

Do you smoke cigarettes or something else like hookah?

My main ones are quite typical; reading, movies, films, gaming (on pc!). Those are the things I spend the majority of my free time doing. I also volunteer, which I love doing, and I'm really into activism and campaigning particularly around 'hard to reach' groups (which is a crappy term I think, but basically incorporates groups like those with disabilities, young parents, LGBTQ, sex workers, etc).
I'd really like to pick up some new hobbies and rekindle some old ones. I used to love writing and also horse riding, but unfortunately haven't been able to write since the age of 15 (as in, I had some crappy experiences which seriously knocked my writers esteem and I've never recovered) and I'm too poor to afford horse riding D:

TV shows I like are: Big bang theory, Band of Brothers and Prison Break
Video Games I like are: Killzone and Metal Gear Solid
Movies: Black hawk down, Starwars, TLOTR trilogy..
Physical fitness, Swimming, Sports...

I also write (and read, apparently). I've only created poems and essays, although I've always wanted to work on an original novel. I also play the guitar and sing. I cover songs but I just keep them among my files--I don't really have the guts to post them or have anyone listen to them :( Oh, and I absolutely love watching films (horror films, in particular; and, well, chick-flicks (thanks to my chromosomes)).
And as for you guys who cook/bake, I envy youuuu! I want to be able to cook/bake without having to burn anything :(
I havent watched Ghost Hunters. I should check that one out!..."
It comes on Wednesday nights on the SyFy Channel. 8pm cst.
