Went via System of a Down.
Nice choice Mews. Always liked James Taylor.

James Taylor is magic."
Wow, that must be wonderful Patti!

As you know, nothing ever starts on time in Africa. Dave, a couple of friends and I arrived at the "venue"...thats a funny story in itself...when it was supposed to start and wandered around, had a couple beers, etc. Heard music but reckoned it was the was the warm up band. All of a sudden heard amazing drumming happening so rushed inside. Was Youssou playing. We caught the last 20 minutes of his set. We felt like pillocks.

I love her work. I think it's because of her artistic background that every time she brings out a new work it challenges me. I use to feel that way about Yes, but they have lost it a bit, of late.

I think you'll find that it's earlier than that Patti. More likely 1971 0r 1972.
The latest album - Fly from Here has just come out. It seems to be a reforming of the Yes band that made Drama, which many Yes fans derided, but I thought was very good and produced the excellent single I am a Camera.

Hey. Ive given him my second kindle! What more does he want?
He's says it was first issued 1/9/74.

I love The Hissing of Summer Lawns. What a great album and what a title. Patti would appreciate it. ;-)

nevermind it ran under the couch. hard to type while stood on a couch. I need a drink. Someone hand me the rum.

When she left the room
her perfume filled the air.
Thirty years gone
it's still there.
How I love to breathe
the air she left behind.
This trick of fortune
fills my mind.
Simple pleasures,
silver treasures.
Take me far, far away...
Faded roses on
a table set for two.
An open window
shares my view.
Out among the fields,
breezes dance and play.
Tender mercies
soothe my day.
Simple pleasures,
silver treasures,
Take me far, far away...
Whilst I love musical composition, I can be entranced by lyrics like this.

Kind of inevitable really. My iPod was born in the wrong era it seems.

Playing in the Shadows

But what I did think is that some people might be interested in this : MP3 Album of the week Newsletter

It's not its fault that it couldn't play it yesterday, I didn't listen to enough music.

He's just nailing my car back together. Can't get used to having the glove box on the back seat.

Listening to In Search of the Lost Chord by The Moody Blues.
