An example of their music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvoVS...

Played Yes's Relayer, the SACD remastered version as a FLAC file. It nearly choked to death on it. Hopefully the new S7 with a faster processor will overcome that.
First World problems abound.

In the meantime I'm listening to Dark Discovery by Evergrey.
Whilst a hard rock album, this album does seem to have progressive roots as it's a concept album about alien abduction.

Quite something. The opening track sounds like we are in for a country music fest - with banjo accompaniment. Then the guitar opening for the second track makes you go, oh?
After that it's great guitar work all the way, with loads of other influences. Great fun.
You can listen to the album here:

The film wasn't very good, it was astoundingly good. Sam Mendes adaptation of Alan Ball's script was pitch perfect.
The cast: Kevin Spacey and Annette Benning on top form.
The near-perfect example of American mid-life crisis, set in a typical middle class community.

I think you missed the whole point, Marc. They were living a vacuous life that was passing them by. It was designed to show the shallowness of their existence, with all their fears and insecurities laid bare.

nope, just don't think it was a point worth devoting 2 hours to having to sit through

I'm with Marc on this one, if people are that vacuous I don't need to waste two hours confirming this? What's the film so I can avoid it :-)

"Flawlessly cast and brimming with dark, acid wit, American Beauty is a smart, provocative high point of late '90s mainstream Hollywood film." - Rotten Tomatoes" - 88%

Note, Jon Field was the only musician used by Mike Oldfield on Tubular Bells. He played the flute.

Still the best version IMO.

Origin of the song.

Stupid doorbell.

I first listened to Excitable Boy, which carries the famous song, Werewolves of London, amongst many other excellent songs. I then followed that with his live album, Learning to Flinch, which has some lovely acoustic guitar work as well as his well known piano.

You know you spelled a variation of Delia, don't you? Why, why, why?

I like Dory Previn, but then you were expecting that.
I'm listening to the soundtrack of Pleasantville, the main theme is composed by Randy Newman. Excellent.
Oh, no, now I'm listening to Kawana by Zao. Quite interesting, formed from two members of Magma.

I read that as 'formed by two members of Vagina'
No, I'm not drinking.
