I listened to the follow up single on YouTube. Now I know why it was a one-hit wonder.I'm currently listening to A Thousand Suns again by Linkin Park. This band has matured magnificently since their first album, Hybrid Theory. They have come so far the critics are really having trouble labelling them nowadays, calling them Alternate Rock. I think this is the best album released in 2010/11 and certainly their best to date.

Blues! Geoff, I've looking for an old blues song, I mean OLD, that I had on cassette. It was a copy so had no titles or artists on it.It had cowbells. I love that song!
Kerstie wrote: "just listened to arctic monkeys "dont sit down ive moved your chair.""Excellent choice Kerstie

Listening to Red Queen to Gryphon Three by Gryphon.Gryphon are a band to pass to Dave Patti, although he is probably aware of them. They are allegedly creating a new album, but there is no signs of it yet.

Hotel California - cuban Del Mondos

That's them Willie. They did a major tour supporting Yes. Their first album was the third album I ever purchased (First was the Best of the Animals, second was Tales from Topographic Oceans.) Very folk with traditional instruments, then they became more progressive till their final fifth album, Treason.
Have you also heard of Jade Warrior? Another great progressive band.
Dave's got Gryphon and Midnight Mushrumps. He's just put Midnight Mushrumps on. I like the medieval instruments.
First album Dave ever bought was Deep Purple in Rock. He thinks his second was Led Zeplin two.
I think my first was Rainbow Rising or it could have been Peter Framptoon live because it was a double album and really cheap!

Here is the Wiki for Gryphon:"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gryphon_..."
Damn, it doesn't like brackets in links. You'll need to copy and paste it into a browser.
The first album was amazing. Very folk with all traditional instruments. Red Queen to Gryphon Three and Raindance were condidered their best, although I love all their albums in different ways.
Simon, I was listening to Burn with David Coverdale on vocals. Went to see Deep Purple live after they released that album.
Went to a party for John Bonham's niece's 18th. He and Robert Plant turned up and started jamming with the hired band. Plant playing the drums and Bonzo singing. Wonderful evening.
I see my iPod has decided that today is going to be a progressive rock day. It's now playing me King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table by Rick Wakeman.
Can't complain.
for some reason Patti i read your post as Best of Canned Beef... I was thinking thats some pretty empty cupboards if thats all your having for lunch.
Watched the prog.about Gerry Rafferty on BBC2 the other night, saw Linda Thomson reminded me of an old album 'I want to see the bright lights tonight' have searched for it for 2 days then found it on my ipod.Pure nostalgia.I wonder how long it will take me to find my bell bottoms and cheese cloth shirt?

Geoff, you are a silly banana! I'm in the virgin lounge. Free wi-fi!! Champagne!! However...It looks like an 80's disco in here. Richard could really do with giving this place an update. Hasn't changed in the seven years I've been coming here.
