What was the last... `Tune` that you played ?
I think you'll find JD enjoyed themselves mightily, if in a laddish sort of way. Including Ian Curtis. Seemed like his private life was what did for him

they were great pranksters, particularly against the Buzzcocks whom they were supporting on a UK tour
Going all classical lately. Listening to Berlioz, Symphonie Fantastique at the moment. And, before you ask, I don't remember it originally coming out.
My memory's not that good. ;)

Still just as annoying. He's using Winamp.
I don't like it as the font is tiny on the telly. I can't read it no matter how much I squint. I can't be arsed to sort out how to make it bigger. I just press the mute button.

Your middle class education is showing, dear.

Damn, and I thought I'd buried it deep enough by now.
Listening to Loreena McKennitt this morning. Her A Midwinter's Nights Dream seemed somewhat appropriate. Lots of Christmas tunes in there and what a voice!
Dave's nephew was given a turntable for Christmas. A turntable!Bluetooth enabled, n all!
Only two albums, though.
An Arctic Monkeys and Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here.
Nothing quite like holding an album cover whilst listening to the tunes.
I know this is the last 'tune' thread, but I'm listening to Linda Smith's A Brief History of Timewasting.I had forgotten how funny she was. Brilliant.
We listening to loads of I'm sorry I Haven't a Clue during our car journeys so far this holiday. Can't say I find it particularly funny.
well it is if you're expecting to cope with something like 'I'm sorry I haven't a clue'I was listening to it this evening on my way to fill up the car, and I like it, but I can see how it's probably never going to travel well
It's good to see you keeping in touch with your colonial roots ;-)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRzhf...
Just heard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmZv5... almost by accidentAnd all the memories came flooding back

OH GOOD GRIEF JIM. What did you do that for? What did we ever do to you?
I'm being inflicted with Bert Janschhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bert_...
THE WORST RENDITION OF 'SINGING THE BLUES' EVER!
I'm very much enjoying two very different obsessions music-wise at the minute.1) going back to my 'emo' teenager years and revisiting my old favourite bands like Bowling for Soup and All American Rejects (who am i kidding with the 'old' favourite line? i still love them)
2) Delta Rae - incredible.
I'm listening to Santana this evening. The live album, Lotus.I remember buying the original as a triple LP with three booklets that folded out from the size. I do really miss that with CDs
Wonderful guitarist. I believe he used to hold the world record for the longest sustained note. Amazing.
I am by no means a great fan of Beyonce (I tend to cherry pick just certain songs I like) but I really, really like her new song. The video for it is also awesome as hell. The style is very inspiring for a film maker.
Geoff (G. Robbins) (The noisy passionfruit) wrote: "Listening to Robert Palmer's album, Drive. A great singer, taken too soon." You're not wrong.
Listening to How Dare You, by 10CC. I remember seeing 10CC when they brought out this album and it has always been one of my favourites.
I've taken to listening to Traditional Irish music and some not so traditional irish music. Mostly Christy Moore and The High Kings (one of whom is the son of one of the Clancy brothers). If I'm not listening to that it is musicals, musicals and more musicals.
It's been ages since I listened to a Christy Moore album. I'll have to correct that this evening. I've always admired his version of Sacco and Vanzetti. Very emotional. However, I am now listening to Little Feat. Their eponymous album.
The rest of the afternoon has been taken up with The Power Station and Joe Walsh.See, that's what my SD card is filled with!
I'm listening to Manna-Mirage by The Muffins this morning. They are considered an Avant-garde progressive rock band. Otherwise known as unlistenable.Don't know how much more I can take.

The point I was trying to make was that JD were incredibly serious and pious about their music, whereas Dr Hook were equally talented but enjoyed themselves more.
I'm a fan of both, BTW, even though I'm currently listening to the Best of the Art of Noise.
