What was the last... `Tune` that you played ?

Very true

His tunes are all fucked up and he needs your help.

He's pissed off he'll lose a lot of his cover art, too.

Suggest Foobar 2000 to play his music and use Monkeymote to automatically update the cover art. Once that's done, use MP3tag to mop up the ones that Monkeymote missed.

I'm not saying there won't be some pain, but using the above method significantly reduces it. Monkey mote also converts FLAC to APE and back. It also converts to MP3 for playing on other devices.
For creating FLAC files use EAC (Exact Audio Converter) and download the FLAC DLL. I can email it to you if needs be.
Use Medieval Cue Splitter to split existing FLAC into individual tracks.

Just downloaded Medieval Cue Splitter, been looking for something like that for a while.

Giggling madly here, Jim.
I'm just as lost as you are.

I've looked at Winamp and I much prefer it to Foobar. Is there any reason Foobar is preferable?

Yep, it doesn't crash.
Used Winamp in the past when it was owned by AOL (Distant). It got progressively worse, so I looked for alternatives. Foobar was the answer.
Once you get used to Foobar, there really is no going back, especially if you have a large music collection.

At least I'm just a spectator, I'm not expected to be the messenger :-)

Still resonates today"
Oh I remember that one! Loved it :)

Since when does that matter to you?"
Good point, well made.
Perhaps copyleft would be better.

I use Winamp as well, not as nice as Foobar, but it does take up less room on the screen, which I like.
I also use Spider Player http://spider-player.en.softonic.com/ the Pro version is now free.

I don't tend to use skins. I like them to take up as little space on the screen as possible, tuck them away in a corner out of my way, but still accessible when I forget what a song is called.

You youngsters have no sense of adventure.

Think yourself lucky. I once demonstrated to my wife the difference between MP3s and FLAC over several songs.
For some reason she still hasn't thanked me.

It's true. I just want stuff when I need it. Not when it happens to work :-(

Edited to correct the name of the band.

ha, like the sentiment more than the band :-)

Tools You Can Trust "Again, Again, Again" (industrial)
World Domination Enterprises "Let's Play Domination" (industrial/dub)
Boss Hog "Cold Hands" & "Drinkin' Lechin' & lyin'" (swamp blues)

Oh, I dunno. Dr Hook were one of the best gigs I went to back in the day.

An antidote for Joy Division, I would suggest.
