Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. The (truncated) title track has got the dirtiest bass line of the summer.

Just been watching this - one of the most impressive bits of guitar playing I have seen in a long time...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0eknU...
I've been listening to the special edition of Pulp's excellent "His n Hers" album. A highlight for me is the track "You're A Nightmare" which along with The Beatles' "I Am The Walrus", "Rain" and "Old Brown Shoe", and New Order's "1963" has to rate as amongst my favourite b-sides EVAAHHH.I seem to remember Oasis B-sides often being superior to the A-side also.
Any other shout outs for the forgotten art of the decent B-side? (Double As don't count!)
Andy wrote: "Any other shout outs for the forgotten art of the decent B-side?"House of Love
A-side: Beatles and The Stones
B-side: Love IV (www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2DQh5u-rz8)
Joe Strummer
A-side: Trash City
B-side: Theme From Permanent Record (www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyifJLVn9T4)
Alan wrote: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&..."Highly skilled drumming, clearly, Alan. But it doesn't actually *sound* good, does it? Am I wrong? ...
Alan wrote: "Having played the drums for many years, the answer is yes..you are wrong."Alan, I'm glad to hear it. I take drum kit lessons. I love it. I clearly have a lot to learn.
Alan wrote: "I hope you didn't mistake my answer for rudeness..on reflection,i could have worded it better. Here is Buddy as old man leaving me exhausted by the speed & amazing dexterity."Not at all. I wanted to know, and you answered my question ;-)
Agreed re. your second Buddy Rich vid this evening. Wow.

Good for writing :)
Suppers ready from "seconds out". One of my favourite tracks. I was going to quiz night but I'm too chilled now. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/dmusic/de...
Alison krauss and Robert plant. Rising sand.
I'm not quite sure how I came to have this cd but it has some sultry tracks.

Dave inflicted some Hugh Laurie jazz on me last night. It was okay for a short while. Jazz isn't my favourite.
Help yourself - Amy Winehouse So many of her lyrics seem to have been from deep within her own being. She must have been so unhappy :-(
I can't help ya if you won't help yourself
I can't help ya if you don't help yourself
You can only get so much from someone yeah
I can't help ya if you won't help yourself
You might be twenty-five but in my mind
I see you at sixteen years or most of the time
And I'm just a child and you're full grown
And no I'm nothing like I've ever known yeah
I'm nothing like I've ever known

Am rather enjoying the latest album from OMD, English Electric. Whilst it's no Architecture & Morality, it's still rather good with Metroland standing up proudly with the likes of Souvenir and Messages.
I'm trying to get some housework done and so I'm listening to my 'I can hear it over the sirens' playlist to try and motivate me! I've just finished listening to our department 'soundtrack' 'Eat Sleep Rave Repeat' which has grown on me given how much I've heard it recently. The playlist has some new songs and then some classics like 'Final Countdown' and 'Eye of the Tiger'. Although nothing will beat blue lighting round a roundabout to Mission Impossible....
Just listened to 'Marillion's Holidays In Eden. Superb album with no fillers. It is an early 1990's release. This was a time when bands still put an effort into their albums.

Sorry Patti,i don't follow you..are you also using Pam
as a Pen name?"
Sorry, I've been neglecting this thread.
I meant the closest to a Patti in that group is a Pam.
T'aint me. I have barely enough time to be Patti. Obviously.
I'm rather taken with Sibelius's 4th symphony at the moment, especially the first movement. It is here, in its entirety with Colin Davis doing the stick waving thing, which to my mind is a very good thing indeed:

Yes, indeed excellent stuff. Thanks.
Must remember to listen to more Shostakovich.

2 Words:-Cocophanous row."
did you mean cacophonous or coco-pophonous?
Don't You Want Me Baby by Human League. To prove to my 12 year old that it is NOT a mexican folk song.
Mexican Folk song, eh?There was a song (probably still is) by Los Lobos called 'Prenda Del Alma' that I managed to convince our kids when they were young was actually 'Brenda the llama.'
I am yet to be forgiven.
