What was the last... `Tune` that you played ?
I got a complaint from the neighbours many years ago.for playing Petula Clark too load...... really!
I'm not actually listening to this stuff but I'm importing a load of CDs that Dave was given into iTunes for him. Some 'interesting' stuff here.
Last one was Willie Nelson. *gag*
I'm sitting in a coffee shop, "writing" (okay, reading goodreads...) and they are playing Abba, Winner Takes it All. It's all I can do not to sing along [embarrassed]

Me too Jud!! My iPod is absolutely jammed with show tunes....... And I don't care who knows it :-p

I've been listening to alot of Creedence Clearwater Revival lately - wonderful stuff!
Stuart wrote: "Dirty, blues, soulful Rock and Roll - love 'em!"We saw Creedence Clearwater Revisited in New Zealand last year. Some members of the original group. Sadly no John Fogerty, but excellent.
Also on the bill was Doctor Hook, who was pathetic.
My fleetwood Mac cd has arrived. Sun streaming through the windows and Stevie nicks in my living room. Bliss. Oh.... What track? Stand back. Live. Unreleased
Easy peasy: It's the good old BBC Formula 1 theme :)I met Mick Fleetwood once (well I say 'met'. 'said hello to and was ignored by' is probably more accurate. It was at a party in Las Vegas, in the late 80s (88 or 89, I think)
Stuart wrote: "Cooksferry Queen by Richard Thompson"Richard Thompson is great. Perfect music to sip wine to.
"I'm singing in the rain, what a glorious feeling, I'm happy again" :o) I've not seen this movie! But I love the soundtrack
I used to until about ten years ago when I walked out into the courtyard of the ward I worked on to find seven young female patients listening to that song and cutting themselves with broken glass! Some things can just be taken too literally...
Stuart wrote: "I used to until about ten years ago when I walked out into the courtyard of the ward I worked on to find seven young female patients listening to that song and cutting themselves with broken glass!..."Oh. Way to suck the joy from the song there Stu.
I'll never be able to listen to it in the same way either.
Simon (Highwayman) wrote: ""Tell me Lies" Fleetwood Mac. Still loving my bargain purchase....."Oh good. Now I have an ear worm.
Jamie wrote: "The weight by The band on original vinyl lp."Haven't heard that in years. Just had to youtube it. I am sure I have it on a complilation CD somewhere but I have no idea which one or where.
Just about to youtube Elvis singing "I Just Can't Help Believing" as brain bleach to remove Paul McCartney's performance at the Olympic opening ceremony.
This is how to forget your words and read from a song sheet and still be fantastic.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyKtRo...

3 cd and a book for under £6 at the moment
Aha - Hi all; just been to introduce myself and found it closed :( Anyway, I'm Scott, author of 'The Trespass' and three other novels, all Indie published on Kindle, and doing well. As a drummer, I listen to all sorts of music, mainly 70's rock and prog. Publishing my musical autobiography on Kindle soon.
Closed???Oh perhaps Simon is sorting out the new thread. Prematurely. Typical. ;)
Welcome Scott! As you can see, we've lots of music lovers in the group. My hubby is very into prog rock. Hesbeen listening to a lot of Yes lately.
Not sure if I'm still cool :) (my son tells me something called dubstep is cool!). Anyway, my autobiog will be out on Kindle over the next 6 weeks or so. It's called 'Rattle and Drum'. Thanks for the interest!
Great stuff Scott! Be sure to open your author thread and tell us all! You'll probably find reading this first helpful.
