Alan (plumboz) | 110 comments Mancini and Mercer's "The Sweetheart Tree" sung by Johnny Mathis. From one of my favorite movies, The Great Race.

Although Mathis didn't sing it in the film.

Geoff (G. Robbins) (merda constat variat altitudo) (snibborg) | 8204 comments Ah, the Hollies Pat.

Bit of trivia for you. Graham Gouldman, of 10CC wrote both Bus Stop and No Milk Today. He wrote Bus Stop for Hermann's Hermits and No Milk Today for The Hollies, but they got mixed up and produced two number ones.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments They are awesome. I havewn't managed to see them live yet. A friend was supposed to take me for my birthday, but she didn't go to book the tickets until a week before, when of course they were long sold out... :(

I'd love to see them live, but they don't gig that often. To think they used to busk on the streets in Ireland!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I know - and I wasn't aware of them at the time! * kicks self for missed opportunities *

message 1492: by Chris (new)

Chris Parker (chrisparker) | 74 comments I think the most important thing is to see them live before Gabriella's wrist gives out completely - how she keeps going, I don't know!

Geoff (G. Robbins) (merda constat variat altitudo) (snibborg) | 8204 comments Listenikng to Men Opening Umbrellas Ahead by Vivian Stanshell. Not everyone's cup of tea, eh Patti?

message 1494: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Not everyone's no, Geoff.

Dave found some folk on amazon he'd not heard the other night. Not only was he listening to crap folk music, he was playing it over the flippin' laptop speakers.

Then he threatened to buy it.

No wonder I drink.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I have been evacuated from my damp ridden Victorian school house. I managed to get my AV/IP receiver working so Napster and my nas are back up and running.... used a netgear WiFi extender ... know you all wanted to know. Works a treat but I have no TV reception.

What has this got to do with anything?

First tune on reconstructed geek Hi Fi was Phil Collins - can't hurry love.
