What was the last... `Tune` that you played ?
Mike Scott - Still BurningDave had Joni Mitchell playing before but I made him change it. Wayyy to early for her squealing.
I was listening to soundtracks last night, whilst talking to our super mod. First off was Twin Peaks, followed by Brokeback Mountain. Beautiful music.
Oh thanks for reminding me. I'm going to have Dave look for the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack.Oh, he's just asked me to tell you have a look at the soundtrack for 'The Road' . There are a couple of tracks that aren't very good, mind, but the rests lovely.

Bit of a mixed bag this morning. Listened to Fleetwood Mac this morning. Their eponymous album, Followed by I'm Not Dead by Pink. Then when I arrived, my iPod played me Into the Blues by Joan Armatrading. I'm now listening to Air Cut by Curved Air.
Now listening to Got my Mojo Working by Alexis Korner, the man who for many years was the voice of Kodak on the TV adverts.
Oh, it's brilliant. Just listening to Ripley's Rescue at the moment. I had to stop work to listen. Good job it's only short.

I've always had a affinity with music and reading. As I work in a busy office, I use the music to isolate me allowing me to get on with my job, otherwise I'd just be permanently distracted.I will listen to almost any type of music as you've probably noticed. The only thing I have trouble with is hardcore country music. There are only so many songs I can listen to about the wife running off with the dog in my pickup and being hit by a train.
I would love to listen to music at work, however it is not allowed as we are supposed to be looking busy all the time is any other manager happens to wander through our department.

All this applies to blues music as well, although the missing items are usually my cadillac, my woman, and all-a my money.

I know Willie, it's very odd as I love the blues. Mind you I love the riffs in blues. Riffs in C&W? Nah.
Nice to hear you listening to Mr Jones Willie. Did you know Rick Wakeman played a lot of the piano on that album. Also, if you look on Youtube for Bowie songs of that era, I can't remember which song unfortunately, you get to see Elton John playing piano on TOTP.

I didn't know there was a Blues festival over there Janet, although I shouldn't be surprised in light of what I have read and heard. When is it on?There was a time during the 1950's and 60's when a lot of the old blues men came over to England and settled in Yorkshire. They came over to escape the prejudice and segregation in the US during that time. One writer wrote that he used to see big American cars rolling around the streets and the most wonderful sounds coming from the local pubs.
You haven't heard of the Colne Blues Festival
That will upset the organisers - they keep trying to tell us it's the biggest one in the country.
It's on every August Bank Holiday. I've never been - I leave work on the Friday as it starts & keep well away.

We have so many wonderful memories around the song Hunting Tigers out in Indiah! We always used to sing it in the car when Sophie was young. I was listening to it a few weeks ago. Wonderful.

Sorry Janet, will have to put that right.
He'll be happy to hear that. He inflicts Hawkwind on his class all the time. I tell him he's warping young minds.

Don't answer that.
Just ordered Tom Waits' new album. Haven't done that for a while! Apparently Keef features on this one too....
