I must admit DD that I can only take them in small quanitities, after that they bore me to be honest. You might want to watch the film It Might Get Loud, Jack White, The Edge and Jimmy Page discussing their musical influences and jamming together. Riveting stuff.

I worked for a major bank some years ago whose username policy was the first six letters of the surname and the first letter of the forename. My user name was therefore robbing. Some people said it was appropriate as I was a contractor.

Oh dear! Now I can't choose!!!!!
As previously pointed out, Radio 6 is doing Pink Floyd night right now.Doing cover versions at the moment. All of Echoes at 8:30 and the interviews etc at 9. Bliss.
Thanks for the heads up Ian. Might need to get beer in.
Echoes pink Floyd.Hits a spot with me because it was playing when one of those significant events in life happened in the late '70s. Best not to elaborate as my sister lurks here from time to time and I borrowed the album from her. I still have it as a matter of fact.

Nae bother Simon.....glad you enjoyed
Woohoo, my iPod has put on a peach for me this afternoon - L A Woman by The Doors. It doesn't get much better than this.
Love the Doors Geoff...even made the pilgrimage to Pere Lachaise. Have you seen the film....though Val Kilmer did a great job.

Suck It and See by The Arctic MonkeysI love the lines:
That's not a skirt you're wearing,
It's a sawn-off shotgun,
And I hope it's aimed at me

I have a terrible problem with the Arctic Monkeys. Gordon Brown said he liked them and I cannot listen to them any more as my blood pressure breaks the machine. It's irrational, I know.

I know the book, but never read it. Must hunt it out.
It's available on amazon but not kindle-ized. Shame.Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison, Will Smith as Ali. Two best roles ever played, in my opinion.
Gordon Brown......crap PM but nostalgic memories of a chancellor who had a grasp of economics unlike the current grinning idiot
Ian wrote: "Gordon Brown......crap PM but nostalgic memories of a chancellor who had a grasp of economics unlike the current grinning idiot"I cannot agree Ian sorry. Brown's talent for spending money he hadn't got and selling gold when at the low point, despite advice to the contrary, is indicative of a man with no grasp of economics whatsoever.
Anyway, I've said too much.
Oh dear. Politics.Oh ok then ......
I don't think Gordon Brown had a single redeeming feature and he should have been locked in the tower with 'that woman' for selling the gold.
Oh dear. Politics. Can we do sport or religion if we're not going to do music?
Never mind.

Moved on to Journey now - Frontiers.I am so OCD that even if I am not in the mood for an album, I cannot skip it as it is my determination to listen to every track (21,519) on this damned thing. I'm at 6086 at the moment.
The worst part is that I think it knows I wont skip and is toying with me. B*st*rd thing.
Pat (Scorpio) wrote: "Long road out Eagles"Nice choice Pat.
Moved on to The Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet.
I have had Cyndi Lauper bashing around in my head all day - she won't get out. Money Changes Everything - the Simon Mix.
