I lived for a year in a flat where the girl in the flat beside me played the SAME David Bowie album EVERY NIGHT!!! And her bedsprings would be squeaking for ages. The wall was paper-thin. I was actually almost glad to be made redundant so I could get away from her.

Hawkwind did a lot of collaboration with Michael Moorcock whose prose was equally as incomprehensible to me as their music.. don't get me wrong, I love sci-fi and fantasy, but Moorcock's stuff used to confuse me almost as much as The Gormenghast Novels

Unfortunately, Jerry Cornelius was just bonkers. Did anyone watch the movie of it? Completely unintelligible.
Lol Dave read and loved Gormenghast. Yeah, well, Geoff. You n Dave can stay up til dawn drinking whiskey and listening to shite music.

That sounds like a brilliant idea Patti.
I did try to 'get' Moorcock's books but I couldn't find myself liking any of his characters.. particularly Elric and Hawkmoon

I tried that one years n years ago. I was probably too young...
I don't think Leviathan is one of Moorcocks Patti. Just looked and can't find any trace of it.There is however a book called The Land Leviathan. Was that it?
Mount St Helen's symphony and City of Light symphony by Alan Hovaness. We used to have a cockatiel that fell off his perch every time I played Mount St Helen's and we got to the eruption part! Poor bird.
Uh no. It was Moorcock's The Land Leviathan: A New Scientific Romance that I was on about. Thanks though.

I do like APC. I have a number of their albums.I'm still ploughing my way through The Bootleg Box Set by Tangerine Dream. As it's a 6 CD set, it will take a while.
