It was very moving though, still hits me that so many people went through that and there are people today who will have lost family members to this massacre as is true of so many other countries and ethnic groups. It makes me really sad.
Going to read something a little more light hearted next like The Sittaford Mystery

frankly it sounds as if Schindler's List would be lighter!

I'm sure that Schindler in his prime would have been fun to have around as well :-)

Gonna start The Sittaford Mystery at lunch on my kindle

Next I fear I shall have to read Just Whistle by Alfie Robins for our village book group.

Back down to earth with a more sedate crime novel now, A Dangerous Talent

I haven't Kay, but as you can imagine it's on my hit list. I need more time!

Also just finished Kahlil Gibran's short book of crazy poems, The Madman.
Now tentatively taking a look at The Rules of Wealth by Richard Templar.

I've just finished reading 'The Silver Mist' by Martin Treanor, it's an excellent and moving read. Check out the full review on my blog:

Or just go ahead and read it anyway! Next I'm onto Qualia by Marie Brown.

I bought it after they'd serialised bits on radio 4 - it's more of a 'dipping in' book rather than read it straight through, I thought, otherwise I'd never remember any of it. A good dipper.

I wish my memorisation skills were what they once were, cuz there's loads of stuff in there I'd love to throw into random conversations.
Probably just as well. I bore my friends enough as it is. ;)

Yeah right!!!
One of the *alien* races had really pale skin, red eyes and - yes, you've guessed it! - fangs!!!
Vampires!
What the heck are they doing in my science fiction?!?!?!
Needless to say that is one book I'll not be finishing!

I agree with Karen. This is how I read it.

started The Things They Carried"
That sounds well worth reading - tho I doubt it'll enhance my peace of mind!

Lolita!
