Just finished - just started
Jud (Disney Diva) wrote: "I just finished Hush, Hush I really enjoyed it and think it might be something Elle would like too although it doesn't seem to be available on Kindle any more...So I've started The Secret of Chimn..."
It's on my Kindle already. I'll definitely get around to reading it.
Has finished Hearts and Arrows - David G. Pearce. Now I am going back to Witchy, Witchy - Penelope King.
I've just finished
by Nicholas Evans and
by Janet Evanovich. The Divide started off so well but the plot did get quite slow halfway through the book. I did wish it would speed up at times but the story did remain strangely engaging. The last 60 or 70 pages of the novel were just as gripping and compelling as the first half of the novel. To tell the truth, I enjoyed the family drama sub-plot a lot more than I liked the murder mystery plot but I think that was probably because I didn't like the character of Abbie all that much so I found it hard to care about what happened to her. I loved all the vivid and wonderful descriptions of the Montana setting and landscape that made me feel like I was actually there. Nicholas Evans has got a great writing style and I love his use of language and imagery. I gave this novel 3½ stars!

I love all the regular Stephanie Plum novels but I'm not sure I like these between the numbers novellas. I was very disappointed by Plum Lovin'. Nothing much happened in it and it was extremely dull and boring. It wasn't anywhere near as funny as the regular novels do be and I really hate the supernatural element in the novella. I gave it 1½ stars!

Now I'm a few chapters into
by Jennifer Donnelly.
Just finished
The Drop
by Michael Connelly and posted a GR review. I don't usually like police procedurals, but I can deal with Harry Bosch novels.
On this morning's commute I finished Alice Parker's Metamorphosis and began... Les Miserables: Tome 1. In French. Hugo is surprisingly easy going so far, but this one might take me a while. The Bishop of Digne is still allocating 90% of his salary to various good causes at the moment.
I finished The Secret of Chimneys and started The Bird That Nobody Sees I'm 40% through it and really enjoying it.
Just finished Ice DiariesEnjoyed it very much
Also Just finished Darren HumphriesThe Man From U.N.D.E.A.D.'s St. Valentine's Day Massacre
A neat tale of love and unlove
Just finished "The 13th Juror", by John T. Lescroart. I liked it a lot; had me guessing until the end.I am now reading "Impulse", by Michael Weaver. The author has crawled into the mind of a serial killer. So far; a page turner.
Snoozie Suzie wrote: "Just finished The Bridges of Madison County, just started 11/22/63. I could be a while ......"I read it too, Suzie, and I think it's worth it. Enjoy.
I've not picked very good books this year, gave up on my series (still need to pick a new one actually, but don't have any decent length ones without buying books to complete, which I don't want to do), and am struggling with my letter B book. In fact, I'm actually preferring to read paperbacks at the moment, although have been reading that for ages cos its nearly 600 pages. So behind on my challenge this year, but have picked an Agatha Christie book for my letter C challenge, that will perk me up after I've read the current one (which might get given up on too)
Just finished The Bird That Nobody Sees, I can highly recommend it.No idea what to start next. I might just leave it and finish my paperback The Favored Child instead of reading something new on my kindle

Phew!
:o)I will review it too Stu!
I snuck in a reading of Day by Day while still at work but it's off to Spanish class soon so I'll not worry about starting anything else.
Evening all. I've just finished And Then There Were None and it was superb. It's a classic everyone is likely to be familiar with and gripped me all the way through. Great plotting, a large cast of characters handled with skill and it's full of twists and turns literally to the last page.I have just started Hellraisers: The Inebriated Life and Times of Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, Richard Harris & Oliver Reed which is about the boozing antics of Oliver Reed, Peter O'Toole, Burton and Richard Harris. It's a right laugh so far. They clearly all had a wonderful time.
Has finished Witchy, Witchy - Penelope King. Now I think I will read Name and Number - John Hoskison.

Just finished Elevenby Mark Watson. Very good although the ending had me open-mouthed and not necessarily in a good way (still thinking about it). Very warm and sympathetic about its characters though which I liked. Have now started The Magicians' Guild by Trudi Canavan. She was interviewed on the Sword and Laser Youtube show which I watch and she came across as so likeable that I wanted to read her work.
Finished Down Among the Dead MenWell written and unusual insight into the goings on of a mortuary technician. Interesting and in places very moving.
Just finished The Land of Later onEnjoyed. Interesting idea; well-executed. Unlike some reviewers of the book, whether my own beliefs dovetailed with the book's premise was irrelevant. It's a work of fiction.
Just started Something Wicked This Way Comes
Enjoyed Baynard's List so am sticking with the 13th century and moving straight on with A Dreadful Penance .. Do hope there'll be another book in the series - I really like Stephen Attebrook as a hero.
