LOL yeah! No putting down. I finished the first three books in like, a week coz I certainly can;t get my hands off the precious books! Oh, I love TMI!

message 52: by Jody (new)

Jody I wish the next book would hurry up. I think Jace is going to go through some hard times in the next one. Once again I think he and Clary will not be together...just yet. City of Lost Souls comes out May 2012...my god, why do they do this to us!!

message 53: by Marian (new)

Marian (marianerika) | 1066 comments Ikr :( They make us wait. And wait. And wait. I miss Jace and Clary :( Haven't read about them in like, 2 months now :(

@Jody you're right about Clary and Jace being apart in the next book but just imagine when they get back together...how raunchy it would be!!!

message 60: by Jody (new)

Jody Ohhhhh same here. I need it yesterday!!! Im dying to see the cover.

Cynjit | 70 comments I love Mortal Instruments...and I am now addicted to the prequel also...I do think they could have ended Mortal Instruments with Book 3. I loved the end of City of Glass. Honestly my favorite so far...Clockwork Angel..

Lol haven't read Clockwork Angel but I'll get there. But City of Fallen Angels is as good as the other books. Oh well, can't wait for CoLS!

message 63: by Jody (new)

Jody I also am totally addicted to Clockwork Angel too...it was awesome for sure!! Will is a good addiction to have.

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

Seriously one of the best series out there to date. Awesome imagination and writing skills.

message 65: by Jody (new)

Jody I agree, once I started reading these books I couldnt stop, I loooved them. I cant wait for the next book. Jace is amazing, and one of my boyfriends. I wuv him alot! I wish I could just jump into those books and be a shadow hunter with Jace. Amazing writing, I cant get enough.

Jessica (messofbooks) | 76 comments Spoiler up ahead if you haven't read TMI. You have been warned!

(view spoiler)

I loveee this series. I haven't read Clockwork Angel, or COFA yet. I've been slack..

message 67: by Jody (new)

Jody Dont worry I googled it too. I couldnt go on without knowing lol. If they were, I would have thrown the book across the room. City of Fallen Angels is really good, I loved it. You have to read Clockwork Angel, its awesome. Dont you just love Jace, one of the best male characters ever. The movie Im most looking forward to watching.

message 68: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn | 8 comments I started reading Cassandra Clare with Clockwork Angel, and it's my favorite overall. BUT Jace is by far my favorite male character. He's just too bad-ass not to love.

Although I hated the ending of COFA, I enjoyed Jace's sarcasm most in that book.

message 69: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (messofbooks) | 76 comments @Jody Good lol.

I know I love his sarcasm. I don't know why, but I'm just a sucker for the smart ass ones lol.

message 70: by Yousra (new)

Yousra Ouahabi (miyamitsuki) | 10 comments The Mortal Instruments series were the first English novels (or let's just leave it at novels, cause I only read in English, I still hate reading in French and Arabic :P) and they were the one that got me to change from a reading haters to a completely booknerd. So I'll never forget these amazing books. The plot was very awesome, love the romance A LOT!!! And Jace s just perfectness in its peak!!!
My fav scene of of the series would be the one when they slept together in City Of Glass. It was simply the most romantic thing I've ever read <3 And the letter too!!
Can't wait for the 5th book, especially with the cliffhanger (which like very much, I don't understand why people are so upset about it, or about the last 3 books for the matter. We are sooo lucky to have such an amazing author who would give us more books to enjoy Jace's awesomeness!!)

message 71: by Jody (new)

Jody I loved Jace's letter. I just love Jace, he is very awesome, you are right! I feel like reading them again now.

Im a big sucker for the smart ass ones too. Thats why I love Will from Clockwork Angel so much too.

I love the TMI series!!!!

message 74: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn | 8 comments I hear that Clockwork Prince has been getting rave reviews, although I refuse to read them because it just makes the wait harder for me.

I personally think the Infernal Devices is better written than TMI. But I love both anyway. Her characterization is just amazing. She brings all her characters to life in a way that most authors can't even touch

message 75: by Jody (new)

Jody I cant wait to get my hands on Clockwork Prince, I am going to run away and hide and devour it.

message 76: by Flora (new)

Flora Smith (bookwormflo) I loved MI but think it should have just stopped with the 3rd book. I didn't care for City of Fallen Angels at all. I do, however, love the Infernal Devices trilogy. Clockwork Prince was worth the wait.

I agree. COFA just dragged out a good ending.

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 42 comments Although I liked the story line, I frankly had it with Jace's self loathing by COFA. I mean she already recycled that story line. Couldn't she come up with something knew. Could Jace's motivation be finishing off the evil instead of believing he was evil??

message 79: by Mel (new)

Mel | 13 comments It's almost a cliche to have a guy hate himself. Look at Edward and Angel for example. I think it's supposed to enhance their appeal, but it does get old if it's overdone. Still, I can't wait for the next book.

message 80: by Angel (new)

Angel | 1 comments I love the mortal instruments! It is certainly up there with my all time favourite series. I have a long list of books to read but I do hope to pick up the infernal devices some time in the future. If you are interested in YA and haven't read mortal instruments what are you waiting for??

I really don't think the next three books will ruin the first three, there were many left unanswered questions at the end of city of glass.

I'm so in love with JACE!! He is everything! And I love me some Magnus Bane, but if I had to choose between the two it would be JACE hands down!!

message 88: by Marilyn (new)

Marilyn Phillips | 10 comments I bought the box set a short while ago. Started reading them and haven't been able to stop. Half way through book three. Awesome series!

message 89: by Emily (new)

Emily (emily21) Books 1-3 are amazing. However, I am in the middle of book 5 and am not entirely thrilled with it. Thats not to say its bad, but book three was a great way to end the series, and now there are so many romantic plot lines, it's hard to keep track. Plus I really wasn't a fan of the way Jace was treating Clary in book 4, even in his "condition." In book 5, Clary and Jace are in the book more so than 4, but you jump from one couple to the next and have to go back and reread their story to keep up with what's happening. She should have kept it about Jace, Clary, and Simon, and the rest are supporting characters. Still a good read, but disappointing when compared to the first 3. :(

Bee (BacchusVines) (bacchusvines) I think it comes out sometime next year, since Clockwork Princess comes out this year.

message 91: by Midnight (new)

Midnight Sapp I only read the first three books. They were great, and I think the third book was a great ending for the series. When I learned that there was a fourth book coming out, I didn't want to continue with it. I just don't like when authors keep lengthening an idea.

Cassie's fans asked her for three more books, she was doing what her fans asked her to do. I think it's wonderful that she listens to her readers as well.

Emily | 59 comments but the last two books were just weird. Is it just me,or could the covers could've been better?
