Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments 1. Twilight - Stephenie Meyer Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer

2. Almost Heaven - Judith McNaught Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught

3. Holly & Mistletoe - Susan Mallery Holly and Mistletoe (Hometown Heartbreakers, #6) (Silhouette Special Edition, #1071) by Susan Mallery

4. Devil Takes a Bride - Gaelen Foley Devil Takes a Bride (Knight Miscellany, #5) by Gaelen Foley

5. Lord of Fire - Gaelen Foley Lord of Fire (Knight Miscellany, #2) by Gaelen Foley

Although I vote we're all stranded together, that way we can work it out so we all bring the different books to our favorite series! Plus...I'm gonna need that Survival for Dummies book, but I just can't waste one of my reads on that.

message 59: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Oh man! So many good books here, and I've read a lot of them... which just makes it harder to choose 5.

Here's my working list: (I don't know the code to insert the book covers.)

1. Outlander
2. One of KMM's Highlander series books - probably the last one, Spell of the Highlander, because it's a nice sum up and has many of the previous book's characters and couples.
3. Maybe The Viscount Who Loved Me? I love the Bridgertons, and I thought Anthony's story was one of the funniest...
4. Senator Marlowe's Daughter - 1st read when I was about 11 or 12 & still LOVE this book!
5. The Secret Adversary - another of my childhood favorites that still keeps me rivated! At one time, I was going to produce/make films, and this would have been my 1st movie, followed by Senator Marlowe's Daughter.

But I don't know, 'cuz that leaves off some of the hot-hot-hot books that I love, too. Like Lover Unbound, 'cuz I really love V! But... again, if I choose Lover Reborn, I get more of the characters. Hmm...

Then there's Pride and Prejudice, Gaelen Foley's series, The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, The Hunger Games, Into the Wilderness, The Sparrow (the book that wrecked me), The Winter Sea, The Convenient Marriage, Awaken the Highland Warrior, and the Bedwyn sagas - especially Slightly Dangerous.

I could probably go on and on ad nauseum! YIKES, what a difficult question!

Have to keep thinking about this one!

Is that your way of saying you don't want to be stranded with us? ;)

message 62: by Annette (new)

Annette I'd bring a few books on survival and boat building so I can get off the flippin' island. HAHA!

message 63: by Chantilly (new)

Chantilly White (Chantilly_White) | 13 comments Hmmm... there was a joke about taking a book on how to build a raft, Michael Phelps, and an Olympic gold medal on a stick, those would be good options. ;)

For the books, if someone forced me to really choose, I might gnaw my own hand off trying to decide what two of the Harry Potter books to leave behind. I'm a HUGE HP nerd, so that would be extremely painful. It's *a little* easier if we're talking romance, though, so I'll go with that.

1. The Proud Breed, by Celeste de Blasis (nice long read, too, great for taking up lots of I'm-stranded time.)

2. Shanna, by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss

3. A Rose In Winter, by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss

4. Ashes In the Wind, by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss

5. The Donovan Legacy, by Nora Roberts (a compilation of the first three Donovan stories.)

It would still be incredibly hard to leave the rest of my books behind, but I could survive short-term with these. I like the ideas for the kindles with solar chargers, though. Yes, please!

:)
