Hi there Shy. :)

I am curious how manga cured your insomnia when many seem to suffer insomnia as they are either wondering about the next chapter or like many books you just can't seem to put them down. Did you find some interesting books to set your racing mind at ease? :)

Also be sure to let people know what kind of books genres you like or some titles you like so people can offer suggestions. There are probably thousands of english published titles out there and even more if you are into fanlations. :)

Oh! On an unrelated note I heard Seven Seas Publishing will be releasing "True Tenchi Muyo! light novel" and it should be 3 books long. From what I saw it will have a lot of background information. :)

Well to be honest I actually just got into reading, I've didn't grow up reading novels or books, so i'm guessing instead of stimulating my brain, it puts it at ease. I've grown up mostly around video games, but I'm getting older and notice that I want to get into something I've neglected my whole life.

thank you for the suggestions as well, I've notice in my year of reading manga, I really enjoy seinen manga, their my favorites. romance, comedy and slice of life are right up my alley.

I'll check it out. I see by the thumbnails you are going the classic single volumes as opposed to the omnibus sets. Of course the clear cards are coming out now too. :)

Spoilers indeed. I think one of my first series was Ai Yori Aoshi but I can't recall which was my first manga ever. I hope you can keep up that energy in your series lol. :)

It was a fun series that would have been nice with more romance and less comedy but it was still a good series that wrapped up well. :)

Hi all! I recently discovered manga and I absolutely love it. I did read some Dragon Ball manga in my teens, but that doesn't really count in my eyes. I'm currently reading Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan. I also started practicing drawing manga. Does anyone know if there is a real life manga Book club meet up in or around Amsterdam, The Netherlands? I would love to meet some manga fans :)

Daniël (one of these days I'll have to learn special characters on keyboards but for now copy and paste it is), perhaps if you do not find such a group you can form one yourself in the area and hopefully find other interested people (this is a common enough occurrence with role players looking for games in comic or game shops in my area.) Try finding a bookstore or library willing to allow people to post messages as those will more likely be where like minded people might gather whether you are looking for a group or creating your own.

I wish you the best of luck on finding a like minded group in your neck of the world. :)

New here and excited to finally talk manga with those who read it! I’ve been reading manga for over 15 years (30, F) and I’ve read an array of manga (Romance, Action, Smut, you name it). I don’t have anyone in my life who reads manga like I do, which is a real shame.

My top manga reads right now are:
Snow White with the Red Hair (I’ve re-read this like 6 times)
Cheeky Brat
Collette Decides to Die (Hades/Persephone story)

Always happy to get any romance recommendations but I want one with a really good story. One that has relatable moments, twists and turns, or makes me cry. Happy to give out recommendations to anyone if I know what you like!

When it comes to romance stories few have moved me as My Love Story!!, Vol. 1. There is even an anime though last I saw it only covered part of the manga.

Now how bad was this smut you read? Straight up hentai or just typical super ecchi fanservice series? :)
