Introducing Me

Can't argue there I have to get around to ordering more of One Punch Man since everytime I try to pick up a copy it is sold out. :)

I really enjoy all of the characters, and my favorites so far are the ones with romance in them. Although, I'm having a hard time find some really good ones.
I just finished Skip Beat and now I'm super excited to read the manga!

Welcome to the club, I started with anime as well and didn't start reading manga until later. I loved both the Skip Beat anime as well as the manga series. If you enjoyed the anime you should really like the manga because it goes past were the anime left off.
Welcome Christina and Whitney!
And good for you Christina to read and watch your passions. It's a very curious and interesting thing to me to wonder why someone could be so against something as vast as books and tv shows but I guess no matter what I'll never understand

its okay and they are just very religious so the church thinks manga and anime is a sin so i'm technically sinning in their eyes but that's them and not me. I believe what I want.
Definitely. How a church can decide that one countries form of books and television is a sin compared to another's is ridiculous. Ah, but organized religion, this is why I don't subscribe to it ;) Glad you're here and enjoying the things you like though!

Thanks and yeah that's how it is with a lot of people. I try my best to be me even when they oppose my style and personality.

I've read the first 5 volumes and totally dig it. I'm waiting for the rest of the series to come out before I go back and re-read it all

I was going to start reading it after I finished bleach

I just recently started actually using my goodreads account and I can't believe there's an actual manga group! I have loved anime and manga since forver , but never really had anyone to obsess over it with. I hope this is the place for that :P

My name's Hammie. I'm turning 21 in October. My anime/manga obsession started when I was in middle school with Detective Conan and Pokémon. :) I'd read pretty much anything but my favorite genres are yaoi, shounen, shoujo. I've been waiting for 8 years for a new season of D. Gray-Man, so I'm super duper excited right now. x]

I'm glad I found this group. Do you know if they aired Season 2 for Fruits Basket or has that not been made yet?

Ah man. I was really hoping they would because the ending wasn't what I was hoping for it to be.

Do you know if in the Ultimate Editions, inside does it come with multiple volumes?
Well... I'm not 100% sure. According to amazon.com the ultimate editions put out by TokyoPop consisted of two volumes per book. TokyoPop went out of business in America many years ago, so if new ones are coming out, someone else is publishing them. There are other ones listed from a different company, but it doesn't show much information and Ultimate Edition book 3 isn't even out yet, so it'd be strange for the library to have the 5th one and ordering the 7th one if it's those copies.
My guess is it's probably the TokyoPop ones, in which case, I have some bad news... volume 7 will never be published because TokyoPop closed before it was released so it'll be "on order" at the library indefinitely

Ah, man. I was really hoping to find out what happened next. I just finished reading Fruits Basket Ultimate Edition 5 and that was at the library. I also looked on Barnes and Noble and looks like they have some in stock. I should probably check again though. Thanks for the info! : )
You can still get the single volume ones. The series was published completely in the single volume sets. You can get them used on Amazon for a pretty decent price, though I'm not sure how long they'll be cheap... eventually they'll become hard to find since they aren't being published anymore and then prices go up.

As always Black Butler is suggest and recently I have been enjoying a series called Tohyo Game but be warned because that series is rated mature for adult content, gore, and violence.

I typically just use goodreads and my book blog for novels, but I decided to start keeping track of the manga that I read, as well.
My favorite that I keep track of is Skip Beat, but I love just about most shoujo that I come across. Fantasy is also a particular favorite (like Yona of Dawn).

I have been reading mangas and comic books in general since i was 7 years old.
The series that made me fall in love in particular with mangas was InuYasha and Naruto.
I asked my dad to get me one volume of naruto. He did. Then came the internet and i have never looked back.
I cant sleep without reading. And manga comprise a BIG part of what i read. I just recently re-red InuYasha and finished it in 10 days. (Please consider that i am a working professional now who has to spend 10 hours in office too :P)
My current favourite authors are Sakisaka Io, Mika Yamamori and Hajime Isayama
