OH MY GOSH! Someone in this group lives in GERMANY! I love anything foreign!!! My ancestors are also German.
I am from Hannover thats in Lower Saxony :)Ite surprising how many english speaking people like Germany I actually dont know why but I really like America,great britain and australia because of all the different accents and cultures its really interesting :D and its really cool that your ancestors are from germany ;) can you two actually talk a bit in german?

I've read LOTS of shoujo manga, but once the plot is good I like every type of book :) I have too many favourites manga so I won't make a list, because it will be too long xD I will just say that I really am obsessed with One Piece right now :)

Hi! I'm Eve, my love for manga started about 2 years ago. Right now I'm reading 5 mangas at a time. I have a weakness for shoujo and fantasy. Current favourites are Horimiya, Say' I Love You' and Hana no Arashi.
Hi I'm Ashlei(Ash on goodreads), I have been into manga for a little over 10 years now. It started from watching an entire anime series on some random tv channel I don't think even exists anymore, & I enjoyed watching each new episode so much, & then it just ended, no explanation,.nothing resolved, just over. I was so upset I found out this series had a manga so I immediately read the entire series,.which was so much better than the anime. Anyway, after that it was Bleach, watching the anime & reading the manga @ the same time; & I still keeep up with it to this day. Over the years I have read more manga than I.ever thought I would, & I am always searching for a new series. I am a complete manga & anime addict, & very proid of.it. :)

Hello! My name is Allison, and I'm a graduate student in history at a state university. I really like anime and manga, which may seem like a bit of a given considering that I joined this group. With manga, I'm currently reading Madoka Magica: A Different Story and the anime on my current watchlist are Valvrave the Liberator, Patlabor (the TV series), Steam Detectives, Love Live School Idol, and occasionally, Sailor Moon Crystal. I started Mayou and Rose of Versailles the other night, too, though, so I have to finish some of my current series to make room for those. I really like light novels, too, but I'm not sure if that's an appropriate topic for this group, so I won't go on about that. ^^;

LOL Indeed. It was a fine series bringing an appreciated darkness to the magical girl genre but that can all be discussed in another forum if you like. :)

Hey my name is Gabrielle. I've always loved anime/manga series, but lately I've been reading a LOT more and I'm really enjoying it. Most recently I've been reading Hellsing and Demon Love Spell. The anime series that I've literally been addicted to is The Devil is a Part-Timer! I definitely recommend these to anyone and everyone.

Hey, my name is Hridya (but you can call me Ri), I'm 17 years old and I live in California. I started reading manga in sixth grade, when a friend introduced me to Fruits Basket. My favorites are Hana Kimi, Skip Beat, Kimi ni Todoke, Venus in Love, Maid-Sama!, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Happy Cafe.
I don't watch a lot of anime, because I prefer to read the books instead.
Right now I'm re-reading Hana Kimi, and trying to catch up with Skip Beat, and finishing Kimi ni Todoke.
I hope to make some friends here and get some recommendations :)

Howdy. Was looking for a Manga Reading Club and came across this. First manga I finished start/finish was Gantz (last arc made me so mad!). I'll read anything, but I have an affinity for I guess what I would call good/bad manga. Some of my favourites are:

I've never read attack on titan, mostly because what I've read on polls and reviews say it's really grotesque and violent.
It definitely is, and it's also super depressing. Basically the final bastion of humanity trying to survive against something they don't yet fully understand. But the story is really compelling, characters are all really great. And lots of mystery.
Berserk takes maturity to a whole new level though. But a lot of the time in the best ways possible. There are lots of grotesque and violent scenes in it. But 99% of the time they are really impactful on the story.
