Hi Everyone my names Ian. I am a pretty avid collector of manga gaining a new one approximately once a week and thankfully being able to organize my collection using this webpage. I am a fan of CLAMP books even if the end of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle was rather confusing. :)
Hello Melissa, Riza, and Ian!
I and lots of people here read lots of manga too, so you are in good company! I miss the days when I was adding a new book to my collection once a week. I've been on a buying freeze for about a year now. I get to occationally buy one, but not without justifcation and planning how I will pack and store it.
Clamp is really good, and their speciality is confusing and/or sad stories, so I'm not surprised.
Hmm. I think my favorite anime is Galaxy Angel. It's super cute and funny. Book of the moment, Daddy Long Legs (you do see it referenced in a few mangas too). Food, Chicken Cresents. Manga, Shojo: Skip Beat! Shonen: Rurouni Kenshin. Age: I often feel too old for this hobby. But this group reassures me that I am not. :)
Hmm, I guess you could have looked most of that back up near the front of this topic. Oh well.
Melissa, what all is in your growing collection?

Is that generic Galaxy Angels or does that include the new stuff outside the original cast, Starbubbles?
yo, everyone my name's ashlet. of course, i love reading mangas. but i am an equal fan of animes too. Hayate The Combat Butler was my ever first anime and and Black Butler the first manga(sebastian is so awesome!!!) and maybe, teresa gyllenhaal(glamazon) thinks the same way too. (hey Glamazon, mind if i still call you teresa.)
oy, I am bad @ introducing & all that stuff, so forgive me. I'm Robin & I love manga. I am also horrible @ writing reviews for what I read & watch, but I am going to try to do better. That's my New Year's resolution for 2013. Along with starting a blog on all the things I obsess about (which manga would be a huge part of) & finishing one of the novels I wrote. PS if you have any mangas you'd like to suggest, please drop me a line & if I haven't checked it out, I am sure I will give it a try.ja ne, R.

You have come to the right place to look for new and exciting manga to read!
Writing takes practice, as well as introducing yourself. You would think that all of those years in school would help, but not so much. Anyway- good luck and I hope to see you around!

Hmm, I'm only aware of the one season for the anime. But if you are talking the manga, the complete story goes across "two" series. I never really got into II and Party though. So I guess orginal cast?
The anime is practically in the same breath as FMP: FUMOFU. Truly funny stuff

Hi, my name's SeeU (ha, thought I would tell you my real name, huh? WELL THINK AGAIN), and I love anime and manga.
My first anime and manga are both Fruits Basket.
My favorite manga is either Pandora Hearts or Fullmetal Alchemist.
My favorite anime is either 11eyes or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
I'm between the ages of 2 and 56.
I wish I had friends who liked anime or manga. :'(
I'm forcing all my friends to watch anime and read manga.

Welcome SeeU! And don't worry, I'm sure you will find or create some friends thAt like anime. When I first got into anime in 5th grade, I started with sharing with people I knew around me and some for into it or we would talk about it for a bit. So don't worry! :)

Hello the name is Max Mathesius and I currently have a series in the long line of production that is eventually going to be made into a graphic novel or manga in the near future. Already 2 books have been released so far. Feel free to check it out.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Season...
Hey everybody. I'm new here in this group. I really love reading Mangas and got quite a bunch at home. I've decided to join this site in the hope to get a good overview over all my Mangas and create my wishlists for the unfinished series. But as I am from Germany, it doesn't seem so easy here with a lot missing or "bad data". Is there a group here dedicated to getting Mangas in order? How do you guys/girls sort your series and keep track of them here?
Let me know, and nice to meet you all :D
You have to be a librarian to be able to change or add information for books. Because I remembered how I first joined I tried to fix something and then it said I had to be a librarian. So I'm guessing you have to find a Liberian on here and ask him or her to fix it.
Yea I figured that much. Applied for that right as well, but from what I heard it takes a while to get approved. I was just wondering if there are some people in this guild dedicated to the Manga portion on this site, as this is one of the biggest Anime/Manga Groups on this site ;)
Does your library have some maybe? Ours have a small collection if manga. And if you wanted and if it available in your area, Viz Media is selling manga digitally and it about half the price for a hard copy manga.
Hi, my name is Elysia and I've been reading manga for over three years now and I'm seriously addicted. I enjoy fantasy manga the most but I'm open to any genre!
My name is Elizabeth and I'm 24 years old. I've been reading manga off and on since I was about 14 or so. Here lately, it's been more of an off time than an on time. Anyway, some of my favorite mangas are Kare Kano, Peach Girl, Sailor Moon, X Day, Princess Princess, Tokyo Mew Mew, and The Day of Revolution. I would have to say that X Day is probably my favorite manga. Anyway, I look forward to making new friends and participating in book discussions.-Elizabeth

I think most just tag manga as "manga." I have also seen it listed as "manga/manhwa," and "graphic novel." Lots of people also separate manga from manhwa. In here, I like to separate then into further genres such as romance and action. I only got through about half of the books were have in the library though. You would be surprised how long it takes! Anyway, I know we've discussed this stuff already. I guess my lack of sleep is starting to catch up to me.

Having a group that enjoys manga is what got me into it in High School. Since then, I switched from anime to manga. Now I hardly ever see an anime. I must admit, this group does keep me interested in it too.
You can try reading some stuff online such as mangafox, but it just doesn't compare to an actual book. Broccoli used to have a direct ordering you could do. I haven't heard anything from them in a while, yet alone if ordering is still possible.
I think in your situation, I would try eBay. I would also buy it in sets. Sets tend to be cheaper than individual books, which would rule out Amazon. You would have to deal with customs and possible international charges, but I think that it's at least a feasible option. I get a lot of mine from used book stores. Maybe you can venture to a nearby city (that way you could potentially have a great population that might actually read, then sell manga) and start circling. But it seems like you've got a very good handle on things.
But yeah, buying manga, esp large series is a big investment. I totally agree. It sucks that it costs so much. It even costs a lot to move. Books are so heavy!

OOh! Good to know! I do have a hard time picking out action. A lot of them fall into that DBZ trap where the action sequences take forever and there is little to no plot.

Hi, my name is Amy. I've been reading manga since I was in middle school. I'm 20 now, soon I'll be turning 21. I like movies, too. I don't like being called short or anything that has the same meaning as short.
OMG! Manga book club!!!! ^.^ It has been my DREAM to join a book club entirely focused on manga!!! \(>.<)/~Once an Ota-kun, always an Ota-kun~
初めまして。My name is Chantal.
I love to read shounen manga and watch anime in Japanese dub. (There are some manga and anime that seem okay to watch in English dub, and I seldom read shoujo manga). I also like to watch Japanese game shows, read Japanese magazines, and travel to Japan.
I studied how to read, write, and speak Japanese for three years in middle school by a native Japanese woman. I am currently studying Japanese independently.
I look forward to chatting with everyone and reading manga together.
よろしくお願いします。

So anything "chibi" is out huh. ;) But I know what you mean. It's annoying when people think you are shorter than what you are. People constantly think I'm lying when I tell them my height. You would think this would be due to slouching, but it is not. Grrr to them

Hi all, I'm Lit Bug. I came to this group particularly because I am researching feminist cyberpunk for my doctorate and realized I'd also need to look at manga and anime closely and since none of the groups I was a member of seemed to know much about it, I began to search for groups reading such stuff to see if I can find something here.
i love cyberpunk, it just a shame its fallen a bit out of fashion :( (dam you steam punks) but as we now in world were AI algorithms keeps peoples tweeter accounts going after death and masked hacks make the 6 o'clock news, it dose't fell like sci-fi any more.
Hello everyone! My name is Brandon. I'm 24 years old and I'm new to Manga. I was introduced to Manga by my bf that studied abroad in Japan. I'm currently reading the famous "Death Note" series. I am fond of bara and yaoi manga.

Hi, I'm Liz. I'm a twenty year old who still loves manga. Personally, shoujo manga is more to my tastes.I read tons of manga as shown in MyAnimeList account (my username is Maora) and my Goodreads account was originally to list series i owned, but i gave up. (Lol) So I'm slowly adding more series in my lists and improving titles that are listed here.
