Hi New here. I am Doc. :)"
does anybody you know say "what's up Doc?" as a way of greeting you?

As a matter of fact yes. I actually had a friend from some time ago that was a huge Looney Toon fan and after discovering my nickname that was the common greeting.
Is your name On Hiatus or are you On Hiatus? :)

It is a shame that series got cancelled considering what happened.

Have you tried Kasane yet? It also deals with with acting but focuses more on talent versus beauty in the the industry that I have seen. It also deals with questions on identity as the ugly duckling of the story is able to borrow the face of others for a limited time through her magical lipstick.

I find many of the groups have slowed down a lot since most of the pre-Amazon day users have either left for more modern media platforms or grew out of the need for a book website. Personally I find Goodreads essential so I don't accidentally order the same volumes more than once for the series I still collect in physical form. So it is nice to see such an energetic intro.
Speaking of Dark Fantasy does it have to be fantasy like Ubel Blatt or do you like other things like Until Death Do Us Part which is more of a dark modern science fiction?

I can understand the joy of graphic novels though I fear I may never catch up to all the series I have picked over the year. :)
Also, thanks for the friend invite. I keep all the manga I own in my Manga, Comic, E-manga, and E-comic shelves and you are more than welcomed to look through them to possibly find more stuff you can try and eventually try to catch up on as well.

I’m Maddie. I’ve been reading manga on the low for about ten years and recently started collecting. I had a few copies of storylines that I really loved in high school, but buying the physical books were far out of my minimum wage pay range. I recently graduated college and have finally been able to invest in more of my hobbies.
Some of my favorites are One Piece, Mob Psycho, Fairy Tail, MHA, Trigun, and Togashi’s work. I’ve watched more than I’ve read, but am trying to change that. I also read a lot of novels and enjoy writing, baking, yoga, listening to music (TØP, Taylor Swift), and traveling. I love going to conventions, too.
Can’t wait to meet more people on here!

I would say that I like both styles of the manga you presented. I will say that I have or will probably read most styler like the Manga Until Death Do Us Apart but I am interested in mages and monster like in Ubel Blatt.

Thinking back the classics for darker action that I can think up off the top of my head are Berserk , Claymore, Hellsing, and Parasyte. In more modern titles I would say Chainsaw Man and The Promised Neverland can be dark at times.
For something less action based but horror themed basically most of Junji Ito's works and another classic called The Drifting Classroom. Personally I am into Mieruko-chan which is a bit of supernatural slice of life though after watching the anime I noticed it has a bit of fanservice too.
For stuff I haven't read but have heard about we have series like Bastard!!, Tokyo Ghoul, and Ajin: Demi-Human which all have anime adaptations of some sort I believe.
Just on a side note My Love Story!! is not dark at all but is one of my favorite Shojo titles and is put out by Viz so is cheaper then many of the other publishers. :)

I review most of what I read and would love some more engagement, so feel free to add of follow me to see my reviews

I really enjoy anime and manga. I even have a MAL (My Anime List) to track everything I watch/read. I've probably watched more anime than I have read manga. I am definitely looking to read more and have added a few to my list! :)

PS: I'm also a manga author/filmmaker!
