Since we're near the end, I'll just do quick mini reviews for my last two books.

Dragon Shelf:
Firewalker, Allyson James, 10-18-11, 4 stars
I really enjoyed this second-in-series book. Janet's struggle between her two opposing natures (firewalker from her father and evil underneath magic from her mother) made for an interesting read. She's warned repeatedly by different powers and god's not to use her mother's powers or she will be destroyed, not by the powers themselves but by those who fear what she will become. Unfortunately, she keeps being thrust into situations where she must use them to save a life. Can evil be used for good? Will she sucumb to the evilness? You'll have to read to find out. LOL. Definitely moving on to the next book.

Angels:
Black Magic Woman, Christine Warren, 10-21-11, 2.5 stars
I borrowed this from the library, so it's fortunate that two kind souls shelved this with the angels. Or was it? I absolutely hated the main character. She was even worse than her sister. Opened her mouth when she shouldn't, without understanding the powers of those around her. Unreasonable about having a Guardian around. For a supposedly-smart world traveler she was kind of TSTL. I really want to read the rewrite of Rafe's story, but I've been so disappointed in the last few books that now I'm not sure.

Daffodil, I DNF Black Magic Woman, I hated the MC as well. I think you're being generous with 2.5 stars :)

But I did love Firewalker :D

Finished my Angel read, . I give it 4 stars. What I especially liked in this books was that the angels for once are the bad guys. The romance between the hero&heroine was incredibly cute. Quite enjoyable read.

Christine Warren has crashed and died. If you notice, the only books that were any good were the ones she originally wrote & then rewrote into novels. I have abandoned her unless I find them for a dollar at the flea market. Then and only then will I get it as a fast one day filler. She's getting stupid. Oh well. Yep :( All done. I've actually jumped into Forbidden Embers instead of the book I chose for the GR author shelf b/c I have to finish it for Oct challenges. But, the threads will be up, if anyone still wanted to share their reads.

I had a wonderful time playing/reading along with you lovely ladies! Sorry I wasn't very chatty this round. Uni's kept me busy. My TBR stack grew leaps and bounds though, that's for sure! :)
