Just for Fun - I Want Your Home

I snarfled this from another group I'm in. It's a fun topic and I thought we could enjoy it here too.

If you could live in any of the homes that are described in the books you've read, which would it be?

For example, I would love to live in Manderley from the book Rebecca as long as Mrs Danvers was not there. I love that it's near the ocean and has sprawling lawn.

How about the home in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, so we could find the Wardrobe?

You bet! We could go out on the patio in the gardens with our tea, go down to the beachhouse and take the sailboat out for an afternoon, and entertain lots of people.

That would be awesome. And the weather would always be great! But we would have the occasional thunderstorm of course!

Or how about Green Gables? I hear PEI is really as gorgeous as Anne sees it.

Oooh--PEI is gorgeous. Been there! To piggy-back on a comment I made in a different thread, I'd be fond of Mole's hole or even Toad Hall, if it could get de-infested. But yeah, come to think of it, I could wander through the woods of PEI reciting poetry pretty easily...

I would love to live in the mansion in "The Witching Hour" by Ann Rice. I have always wanted to live in a house surrounded by trees like weeping willows with a huge wrap around porch in the South. New Orleans has always been my dream destiniation.
