C (urbanamore) | 9 comments I read it a couple of years back, she has this friend, and throughout the book she is like, hitting on the guy she likes, flirting with the teacher, wearing some dress from the attic, and the protagonist gets really angry with her. In the end you find out she is actually her split personality, and she's been doing all the things she thought the 'friend' was, and she drives her off a cliff (?)

Danielle | 154 comments Sounds like this one stephen king novel. It has the same idea the story you mentioned does but it is more than likely not the one your looking for because the main character is a male adult writer not a teenage girl. I have only see the movie and the name is different than the book's name, bit not too different if I remember correctly. The movie's name is Secret Window. Anyways best of luck finding it, the story sounds interesting.

Charlie, are you still looking for this book?

C (urbanamore) | 9 comments Yep I am still looking for it!
It was a young adult book I think!

Brittany | 106 comments R. L. Stine has a book called Fear Hall: The Beginning about split personalities where the main character is a female college freshman. It doesn't fit your description exactly, but the part about her friend and the guy she likes is familiar.

This needs to be moved back from Abandoned to Unsolved.

Fiona Curtis (fionacurtis) | 15 comments There is one called Shift by Em Bailey about a girl with an imaginary friend, might not be the one you want because I don't remember a cliff anywhere, but it's worth a shot

Daphne | 247 comments Stepping From the Shadows has the split personality thing. It really isn't clear for a long time. If you mean that the girl herself died, then this isn't the book, but if you just mean "she killed the alternate personality" then maybe?

That's not it but it's that kind of thing! At the end she like drives the car and jumps out before it goes off the cliff so the girl dies and she doesn't.

It's not really an imaginary friend so much as someone that exists throughout the whole book and right at the end you find out that she hasn't actually existed the whole time at all.

I just moved this back to Unsolved. Sorry, I missed LG's post back in October.

To throw another guess out there: Choker by Elizabeth Woods has a similar plot but I can't remember the ending.

Also Identical by Ellen Hopkins - I don't think this is your book but you might also enjoy. :)
