Bands that everybody likes...or at least doesn't dislike

I dare you to send me someone who can't get down with "Signed Sealed Delivered."

How can you dislike anything as all-American and wholesome as those bands?

"The Track of My Tears" stops me in my tracks every time.

"Peaceful Easy Feeling" makes me feel the exact opposite. "Angry Stabby Feeling" is more like it.
I was never partial to Motown. I do love the shit out of Stax Records, though.
Going back to the topic theme here, I'm hard-pressed to find anyone who's ever had a bad word to say about the Clash, other than that abysmal Cut the Crap album (though "This is England" is a phenomenal song). I do think the Clash are universally loved or praised, at least well-liked.
Bob Marley, I suppose, is one who's universally liked. I think he's overrated and overplayed, but on occassion I do enjoy his songs.

See, I never minded "Cut the Crap" (Love "We Are the Clash" even though they're lying) as much as "Sandinista!" or "Combat Rock." Something about Allen Ginsberg on a Clash album reeks of, uh, just plain reeks.

That's why you have to hit 'em where they dance.
Motown, Stax, Eccentric Soul.

Even people who don't dance tap their feet and bob their heads. How about "I Want You Back?"
I do love Pink Floyd.
It's The Wall I can't stand.

What's left? haha...what do you like?

Reggae is boring! Every song seems to have virtually the EXACT same beat. No wonder pot is so popular in Jamaica.

agreed.

Great! Graham Parker did an excellent cover.

Same here.

Er...
Er...

I can't listen to just straight Jamaican reggae for hours. I've tried. It really does all start to sound the same to me.
Sublime is a little different.

I'd wager some jazz and classical music fans would say the same about rock:
Why do most songs only have three chords?
Why is everything in 3/4 or 4/4 time?
Why is everything either in a straight major or straight minor key?
Booooooring.

"Daydream Believer" Genius, right?

I prefer "Pleasant Valley Sunday" and "Last Train to Clarksville", but sure, "Daydream Believer" is good, Clark.

Sorry, Heidi, Doors, Beatles, Jethro Tull, Traffic, John Mayall, Jimi Hendrix, Janis, Stones, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, The Who, Kin..."
Next thing ya know, you're gonna tell me you like John Mayer & DMB, too (please don't).
Jackie "Last Train to Clarksville"
Something about the title looms ominous to me.

Keep The Wall away from me!"
Janine don't need no education.

Because I dislike John Mayer & DMB as much as I dislike Journey??? :D

Here, here Gus especially "Hotel California" and "Life in the Fast Lane."
Fuckin' Joe Walsh grabbed the big coin, eh?
