Yes! I actually wrote a blog post a few years ago about how the book seems to be very prescient. There's more she predicted in that book, too, but I'll let you get to that part. Glad you're enjoying it!

I'm actually reading Egan's 2001 novel, which uncannily anticipates Facebook and other social networking sites no to mention reality shows.
When I'm done, I'll turn to The Goon Squad.Right now I'm on p.215, a bit more than 1/2 way through. It's a fascinating read.
