And no, I don't think they're meaningless and if something is very important to you and has sentimental value, a tattoo is very nice.

She's probably 16, and she'll have synesthesia. Synesthesia is a disease of the mind where someone hears colours and sees sounds. Every word has a seperate colour, and every colour comes with a little song. She'll be in the asylum much like Morgan is; her mother was a little psychotic, and she sent Basil to the asylum because she didn't want to deal with whatever witchery was going on in her daughter's head.
